Hi all

I'm US Citizen by Naturalization originally from Egypt I have in Egypt one brother 28 years old and a sister 37 years old beside my mom 63 years old , I would like to bring my siblings to USA and I heard it takes over 10 years ! that's too long is there is any other method to get them visa in shorter time? someone said file for you mother and then make her file for them, is that right ? my mother is oldie and I can't take care of her by myself here in the states.

Another question I'm in Egypt now for a vacation will last another 5 months, can I send I-130 to Chicago with my address in USA cause the embassy is closed now in Cairo?

Appreciate all of you guys for helping others here

best regards

yes that's the fastest way i know of, is by filing for your mother who would then have to file for them

but since they are over the age of 21 it will still take a couple years. i have a friend who's father filed

for her and it's been 8yrs and her petition was just sent to the embassy.because she aged out and went into

priority.i am not sure sure if someone else knows of another way and can inform you.

good luck

if you file for your mother, it will be because she wants to live here. she will be living permanently in the US.

If not then you have to file for your siblings and wait for more than 10 years.

Do you know how long it will take for my mother to come to USA?

It will take about 6-12 months for your mother to receive an immigration visa.

Can she apply for them while she has the green card?

As a green card holder, she can apply for her children who are not married. She cannot file for a married child. Only US citizens can petition for a married child. If a child gets marry while she is a green card holder, the petition is automatically revoked; meaning the petition is dead.

Does she have to stay in USA all the time untill the get to US?

thanks again!

She does not have to stay in the US all the time. She must however live in the US predominantly as the immigration visa is for her to be a US permanent resident. She cannot be a US permanent resident if she lives in Egypt.

-------------------------------

It will take 11 years for you to petition your brother and sister. If they are allowed to immigrate to the US, their spouses and unmarried children under age 21 will also be able to get immigration visas.

It will take 8 years for your green card mother to petition for your brother and sister. They must be not married in order for her to petition for them. If she dies before your brother and sister immigrates, the petitions will be automatically revoked. Will your mother make it another 8 years?
