The sealed envelope contains every paper USCIS added to your case, contains every paper you added to your case, all your background checks and interview information as well as your medical and anything else that was put into your case.

It basically IS your case. Do not open that large envelope. If you do it has to be taken back to the embassy and has to be investigated and resealed before you can leave for the USA.

The envelope will accompany your passport when you receive the visa. Carry the envelope with you and hand it to the US Customs and Border Patrol officer as you enter the US.

He can fly as soon as he has his passport with visa on hand! By the way, did you pick-up the visa at the Domex office or did you choose the home delivery option? How long did it take for the visa to be ready?

Within 1 second. If you can have the visa deliverd to you as you enter the plane door, that is best....or have the airline hold that plane from departure as a courier delivers the visa to you as you sit in your seat on the plane. That is about the quickest you can use it.

also, i was told that there is something in the visa package...some envelope...that u cannot open and you have to keep it sealed until the immigratin officer at the airport unseals it....does anyone know what it is?

It's the sealed medical results and maybe other forms. One gives that to the CBP officer at POE>

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
