Hey everybody, I just came back from the gym to find another message in my mailbox from USCIS. Guess what they didn't send me another RFE but an approval email! :dance:

Yup definitely great to have this one under my belt, but the next stage is the one that matters.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Don't really know Jan, it seems two of the biggest factors are luck and luck. The second part of luck is that if the petitioners name isn't so common that it shows up as possible match in the database and then it takes a bit longer to verify cause at some level they have to check physical records.

I think thats why the youngest applicants seem to get approved the quickest cause they haven't had a chance to have much history.

I passed my interview at Frankfurt embassy today. I was so nervous... :unsure: But! everybody was very friendly. The whole procedure took about 1,5 hours. The lady at the interview was friendly, but very accurate. Then she said, "everything looks fine, you should receive your passport with the visa in about 10-14 days". Such a relief! We are very happy! :dance:

So middle of last week I got an email saying we were being sent an RFE :-( So I just figured we'd wait til it showed up and then send in whatever we needed to, but I just got back from work tonight and I have another email from USCIS telling me that they approved our application :-s Well confused now. Whatever. Yay :-)

@Lala, you never got your RFE letter??? I'd wait a few more days to see if the approval notice comes in the mail, if not.. I'd call USCIS and wonder about BOTH emails, RFE and NOA2
