Called NVC, they said they sent the petition to the consulate yesterday (July 25th), and gave me the number.

I understand that once the petition makes it to the consulate, my fiancee can walk in and submit the DS2001 and DS230 (part 1)?

The last I remember, the petitions are being mailed via DHL, so it should be there on Monday. I will talk to her tomorrow, and tell her to visit the embassy then -- may be we can get an interview slot in August.

PS Would it help to fake crying in the consulate to get the interview date closer?

Wow it looks like this is the March whiners thread. Exactly what I needed. I really need my NOA2. I'm past 4 months and not getting any satisfaction from VSC. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Yes all of the people at VSC are devils . The hate me and they secretly wish that we would break up and cancel our petition or just die. They leave our file at the bottom of a mountain of newer petitions and they laugh at us every day because we endure a long distance relationship. They think that we are hopeless dreamers and they delight in our misery. I hate them.....I hate them.....I hate them. Thank you for listening

Great news! When were you approved?

The time line asks me for a lot more personal info that I am willing to share.

Sent petition 3/1, got approved 7/11, NVC case number (called them by phone) 7/25, on 8/1 my fiancee will go to the consulate and ask for the interview package.

People, any news from NVC??

Nothing yet..actually what piss me off are the different versions given from different operators. Two operators yesterday told me that ,since on my NOA2 there was written that the petition was going to be forwarded to Naples, then It will go directly there without stopping at NVC..which I'm sure is total bullshit. This is more frustrating than waiting for the NOA2 cause at least I was ready not to expect nothing for 4 months..but with these guys is a totally random game.

We got the police certificate, it said NO TRACE which is what we expected!

Packet 3 goes back Monday. Also will call the Embassy to verify WHAT they want back, the letter said one thing, the online notes say another, and this forum a different reference yet.

Medical is Thursday.

With any luck the interview will be late August or sooner!

Well the letter had one list to send back as well as a reference to a website, which had a different list of the forms to keep or to send back. So we called them this morning and they said to send ALL the paperwork in but keep the documentation such as birth certs, etc. So today off it all went in one package.
