I checked the VJ NZ embassy info. It says that they will do Direct Consular Filing for US Citizens and they don't have to be legal residents. That means you can file the I-130 directly with the consulate which means you skip over USCIS. If that might work with your plans, then look into it. Good luck Andie.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Mar 12 2011 - Initial Review; Status Last update...

Mar 14 2011 - NOA1 received by email - petition routed to VSC

Aug 10 2011- unexpectedly received mail from NVC saying we are approved

w/ my MNL case # on it.

Aug 11 2011- My approved petition already at USEM :)

Aug 16 2011- Finally, USCIS update our status..

Aug 22-23 2011 - Medical Exam: Passed! yay!

Aug 22 2011 - finally received hardcopy of NOA2 on mail and we were approved since Jul 13, 2011

Sep 02 2011 - Interview date! approved!

Sep 14 2011 - Visa received!

Sep 19 2011 - POE (Guam)

Oct 14 2011 - Wedding Day

Nov 21 2011 - AOS Sent

Nov 25 2011 - AOS Delivered

got the RFE letter yesterday, they just wanted a certified copy of her birth certificate :) obtained and in the post! now back to the waiting game lol

Dang! I guess we got lucky with our adjudicator cause she just sent a color-photocopy of her birth certificate..far from being a certified copy!

Dang! I guess we got lucky with our adjudicator cause she just sent a color-photocopy of her birth certificate..far from being a certified copy!

You're right a little luck is needed in the whole process. My fiance sent my birth certificate (scanned-and in Spanish) and we didn't receive RFE for a translation or certified copy... it depends mostly to the adjudicator.

Have a great weekend ya'll March filers wishing Monday will come with more NOA2 for the ones who are still waiting! :thumbs: :thumbs:

I have brain ache (again!!) after reading too much and thinking way too much about this $%&*£%#! process :wacko: At this moment I wished I lived in London and I could magically turn my cat into a book and pop him in my hand luggage
