Still no NOA1, or email about it, but we did get what I'll call an RFE, Stuart got a phone call from Dallas asking for this year's tax return, as last year's (which we had sent in January the first time) was too far out of date. We hadn't even thought of putting the new one in! I NEVER thought they'd PHONE us!!!

At least we know they have it, even though we don't have a number, or know where they're gonna send it to!!! YAY!!!

(Still no reply about the one we sent in January though... it's just MIA)

Did he check the back of your cashed check, sometimes they stamp your case number there also.

They asked you for a tax return? With the I-129F application? He must have sent the I-134 affidavit of support with it, which isn't really needed with the I-129F, but you'll need that for your future interview. Why would Dallas call you? Something sounds strange, are you sure he filed the I-129F?

Yes, he sent the Affidavit of support as well as the I-129F form. Not sure why, as that's supposed to be sent to me to send along later, but yes, he filed the I-129F, and I couldn't tell you why they called, but they did, and asked for this year's return instead, which he's scrambling to get done and send in asap. It sounds weird, right?

Well thats good! Still if you got a call I thought the Califonia Service Center would be more likely to do it than Dallas. Since Dallas supposedly only transfers the package, but then maybe they are doing you a favor and letting you know now. Good luck!

Thanks for the congrats. I must be honest, when I opened my email and saw a message from the USCIS, my initial thought was RFE! I do not know how this happened so fast for us (maybed the Japan earthquake theory is correct)! For all of you still waiting, be patient, yours will come!

we didnt get any noa1 yet...they cashed the ckeck and he said they also stamped it. he called 3 times they said they cant do anything about it, only if they didnt get noa1 in 30 days. he mailed it in 17th march thats already been too long....

If they cashed your check you'll hear something soon - did you fill the form for e-mail alert? The hardcopy sometimes takes a bit longer...I've red somewhere that sometimes when they cashed your check you can already see your casenumber somewhere in the data that's you get from your bank about the cashed check

Since things are happening so quick, it is throwing a curveball to our plans! Am I correct in the fact that we have 4 months from the date the I-129F was approved to get the visa? I noticed that Neko has an interview scheduled 1 month after getting the NOA2. Can we delay the process by "dragging our feet" on getting her documents to the embassy? We need to have the K1 in hand by end of July/beginning of August or it will mess things up for us.
