his family doesnt like you? i couldnt imagine my life in a USA if sam's mom wouldnt like me X_X did you try to talk to them and explain them you really love him and your want to get along with them?

i was looking at wedding dresses too and now i dont know if i want red, black, or red and black, or white and black

Yeah, they don't like me because they like another girl for him. I don't know if it's a vietnamese tradition or what but his parents tried to hook him up w/ a vietnamese girl in Vietnam. My bf told me about it and I tried to befriend girl the via ym. I tried to get to know her because I wanted to know what kind of a person my bf will going to marry if ever he decide to follow his parents. I wanted to be sure that she is capable to love my bf more than I do, that if ever she gonna marry him, it is because she love him, not because of the citizenship. I thought I can trust her because she was being nice w/ me, she even called me ban means friend, so I told her everything. I told her that the dude she will going to marry has a gf. and I asked her if she still gonna marry him even after she learn that he has a gf, she answered "I don't know". So I told her, it's okay. if my bf fall in love w/ her and decide to marry her, I asked her to just love my bf more than I do. She was so nice she even said I understand. But dude! after that talked, she went around, telling every member of the family of my bf that I harassed her and I made her cry. She even wrote his parents a letter since his parents don't know how to use pc--telling them that I'm harassing her. Since then, they hated me more because of her. I tried to talk to them but they didn't like to talk to me. They blocked me from their contacts. After they received the letter, they got so mad at my bf. They brought him to Vietnam to meet the girl. My bf went w/ them because he didn't like to disobey them, for 2nd time. Once they were in VN, they wanted him to get engaged w/ the girl. His cousin even brainwashed him about our incompatibility based on our Astrology signs. My bf called me then, he was crying because his cousin's predictions about us were not good. he said I'm gonna die soon if we continue our relationship. My bf got afraid for me. I told my bf, I respect his cousin's ability to see the future but I believe our love is stronger than death. That our future is in our hands. it is us who going to draw it. then I told him, if his faith is not in our relationship anymore, then he is free to go. So, I left him to think. Then the next time we talked, he said he was being disowned because he chose me. Until now, he don't have contacts w/ them. But I'm still telling him and keep telling him to reconcile w/ them because after all they are his family no matter what. Let them hate me, important is him w/ them....It sad but I don't know how else I can get their approval, to accept us We've been fighting against all odd for 8yrs now....

you're not alone, TJ01212011 me and my fiance are having a nice lil private wedding, meaning, me him and a friend to sign. his parents don't really like me either and they hate that he traveled back and forth the past 3 years so we can spend time together and make things work. but like you said, all that is important is that we'll finally be together with our loved one everything else will be fine

wow.....this is a trully f****d up story . but you know, he chose you, thats what matters. his family will try to contact him after a while i tell you. after rejecting me as daughter and cursing the hell out of me, my mom came back like nothing happened. i didnt forgive her, i never will, but she did come back. and you know, for you the most important thing should be your fiance. family? nah make your own family. the kids have to fly from the nest sooner or later, and his time has come. they raised him but they cant control his life. and if you wanna be happy keep him as close to you as you can. if they dont like you, sh*t happens, you have him and he has you, and theres nothing more powerful in this world than love!!

as for that girl, that will be a lesson for you not to be nice with everyone. you shouldnt trust anyone 100%, theres always a chance they will stab you behind your back, especially when it comes about a guy. i never had girl friends, just guy friends, i grew up with guys and its hard for me to trust women cause i know 85% of them are snakes. my best friends is my fiance. let your heart decide who you should trust

Yup we are all wishing for miracles, but will settle for NOA2s! I'm just happy I got to talk to my fiance today, yesterday I couldn't get a phone connection and it set my mood off. We can only talk on the weekends cause the silly Cyprus cell network is awful.

But now I got to talk to her early in the morning and hopefully will reach her in the afternoon! Thats enough to keep me happy right now!

@TJ .. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but see.. Family/relatives, it's wrong to think that we HAVE to love them all, just because of blood. Love and respect it's something you gain, they can't control your fiancé's life, traditions gets old, and if he chose to love YOU, and you were wiling to even give up on your love if it was that what it'd make him happy their family should be PROUD of your attitude. They are being selfish, it's not what it's good for him but only for them. Like DeeDee said.. now, it's you, him and the family you two will build. Hang in there, what you have with him is the most important thing and you have to worry on keeping this.
