its really nice when i see people convinced they found their soulmates :) it seems we're the first to give up in here. i hope he will stop the visa process too since i dont think this will work out anymore. when a guy tells his fiancee "#### you, im tired of you" doesnt sound that good to me. maybe is time for me to back off and give him space for some real life. he spent his live enough on internet and probably he wasnt ready for a family. we're 21 after all. i dont really know what to do from now on. im so lost

That's really frustrating, I'm sorry things are going badly for you

Do you guys talk every day? I don't know your situation, but maybe if you agreed to take some time to cool off, like a week, you could meet on skype at the end of that period and see how you both feel. "#### you" is definitely an awful thing to hear from the person you love and they shouldn't be talking to you that way. But usually when someone who loves you uses words like that, it's because they're speaking in the heat of their anger/frustration and would not be talking that way if they were being calm and rational. I've definitely said some stupid things to my boyfriend when I was pissed at him, trying to make him feel bad because I was angry, and later apologized for it.

This whole immigration process is so hard when it comes to having enough "space". It feels like you have too much space because you never get to see the other person, but at the same time you're trying to communicate with them as much as you can, so you're pretty much tied to them and the whole visa process. It's like being stuck and lost at the same time. Sorry if I'm being depressing

I just hope everything works out for you guys. Being long-distance can do weird things to a relationship. If you feel like breaking up would be the best thing for both of you, then maybe it needs to happen, after you've both talked about how you feel. But if you think you guys would be together if there was no distance, it's probably worth taking some time to try and figure out how you can get back on the same page.

Very sorry to hear that DeeDee. You two are so young at 21. I don't know many men who would be ready for marriage and all the responibility at that age. Thats the hard thing about love, you can't push it, it has to come naturally. There are times like this when maybe you will just have to let him think about it, just give it time and maybe he'll come back to you and apologize. Best of luck to you and here's hoping this is only a small bump in the road and you'll glide into the smooth part again soon.

Ah hon, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hopefully it's just cold feet, or a bad day, but I'm sorry your heart is aching over that. It's a sign of immaturity to fight in that manner, and 21 is very young, I hope you two work really hard on communication if you get things to work out. It's too bad in cases like this that you're NOT closer so that he can apologise for talking to you like that with a bunch of flowers, as an apology is likely needed at this point. As to what to do? You're a vibrant, young woman with the world at her feet, you can do whatever you like. Go back to school is what I'd suggest, if you have nothing to tie you to a job at this point? Good luck to you honey, and I hope you get that apology, and your heart stops aching. And call him a big meanie from me, kay?

last night he was reading what you guys posted here and he said you made him realise many things. well he did apologize for few hours yesterday and he definaly refused to touch the visa process. he blames it on the distance and on the fact that he doesnt have enough sleep. still talking to your girl in that way the reasons are a bit stupid. i didnt break up with him im not the type but it still hurts. as for me going back to school is kinda impossible, since university here costs a lot and he's the only one who supports me with money. i agree he's very immature sometimes. still we do have a very good communication, we always had. the only thing i can do is thank you for your kind and smart words and for opening his eyes. honestly, i had no idea he was reading the forums LOL

Good to hear that DeeDee! And great that he apologized and he is willing to work on that. You both are so young - even age doesn't always say anyhing about the matureness of a person - if I look back, when I was in my early 20s I would not have been able to marry. Needed some relationships, and periods of being just with my myself and to learn about myself to be ready to find the one I can spend my life with. You both should talk a lot about your needs and wishes and always treat each other with love and respect. Being in love with the right person (soulmate) doesn't mean that there will not be issues sometimes, but that these issues can be ironed out without losing the love and respect of the other one. And hang in there, soon this journey will be over and we can be together with our partners without some 1000 miles between us... :star:

Hey sweetie, I'm glad he did apologize, I really understand that distance could get him pissed off, not thinking straight, I am not defending him in any way, it was really wrong.. nothing in this world is an excuse to treat people bad, in a rude way, especially the one you love, the one you want to share your life. I am also glad he could read what we said here, I guess I can speak for many others when I say that we are here to help, all of us are together in this process, we share the same experience so it's good to know that we'll hear some nice words and advices from people that are sharing the same feeling.

Sam, if you read this again, do not treat the one you love like this again, it is really painful the distance, we all know, but this can't be an excuse to put your frustration over your relationship and your fianceé. I am also 21 years old, and for me age is not a sign of maturity, I was always mature, different than my friends and so is my Fiancé. Calm down, think positive and put your mind busy, thinking only about the next time you'll get to see the one you love. This will help, I'm telling you.

For both of you, good luck with everything, process, relationship, distance, etc. And count on the March Filers :)

P.S: Be welcome JhayAr :)

Carolina.

This is no excuse, but sometimes we are meanest to those we love the most. :( You are both very young and sometimes we do say things we do not mean. However, if you both love each other and are willing to work things out, then everything will work out in the end. Good luck!

Something else to get us talkin'!

Which US city is your fiance(e) living in? What do you like about it?

My K1 is taking me to Portland, Oregon. I visited for a week last May, and then spent a few months there this winter, so I got to know it a bit better. It seems like a great place to live. People there are really friendly. The downtown area isn't too big or too small- perfect for getting used to. There are lots of cool places to eat/drink/hang out. There's a lot of great stuff to do outdoors, too, like taking walks in the state parks (the Pacific Northwest is so green!). The apartment I'll be living in is super close to a movie theater that serves beer, which to me is fantastic :P

Lol, never heard of a theater serving beer, that's awesome!

My K1 is taking me to Branson Missouri... the live show capitol of the world! Missouri is really pretty and Branson sits right in the Ozarks, so there's pretty scenery outside every view. There's a home there that we went through when I was there in the fall, and if it's still available when I move, we're gonna put an offer in, it's the kind of home I've always dreamed about, him too, so really hoping it's still there! He's an aquatics directer at a resort there, so my son is gonna love that part of it, as well as going through all the attractions. Last time I went through the wax museum, Ripley's believe it or not, a haunted house, and a bunch more. They have the Titanic there as well, the whole building looks like the ship! There's also Silver Dollar City, which I guess is like Canada's Wonderland. They have a great shopping area called Branson Landing, all the streets are closed to traffic, and paved with brick, and it's shop after shop and restaurants. (they have a Joe's Crab Shack, which I love and we don't have them here, so looking forward to sharing that with my family when they come for my wedding... think we'll do the rehearsal dinner there!) The Stone Hill Winery has great wines, I really like the Norton, so I already know what wine to serve if we get our dream home, and have the wedding there. The only things I'm worried about in Branson is the job situation, as I work in health care and they're mainly hospitality and service based there, and the school situation... think I'm gonna start a thread about the schools in the US so I can understand the system a little better...

Which US city is your fiance(e) living in? What do you like about it?

Mine is taking me to Ridgeley, West Virginia.. I never been there because was denied in a tourist visa twice, so I could never go there to visit and meet my in-laws. But what I like the most about there is the fact that looks like where I live in Brazil, and the friends I already have there.. plus an amazing family my fiancé has. :)

Which US city is your fiance(e) living in? What do you like about it?

Central Jersey,45 minutes from Manhattan :) I like that It's well connected and fairly near to important cities like Phili,New York,Princeton and Atlantic City, and It's definitely the garden state...parks everywhere and being a trail running lover that's paradise for me.

I'd love to visit Oregon one day,I know It's truly beatiful there :)
