Yeah, why do people think that long distance is romantic? I tell people how long we've been together and how long we've been doing the long distance thing and there's one of two responses 'No way I could go without sex for that long!' or 'Awwww, it's so romantic that the two of you love each other so much that you can do that. He must love you a lot."

No! It's not romantic. Nothing about long distance is romantic, or fun, or a situation that you want to be jealous of. It's hard, and exhausting and frustrating. It's everything you DON'T want to add to your relationship. And even if you're NOT fighting, you're still not together. I think movies and books have made people vastly underestimate just how romantic it is to be able to wake up and eat toast in bed with the person you love. Or go to CVS and buy more shampoo. THOSE are the kind of romantics things I want. I think just being able to wake up next to the person we love is about the most romantic thing we can think of. And I think we'd all much prefer THAT to an email that says how much they love and miss us.

Wow you kidding, that's good...Now am excited.lol...Some of us are already two months going into our 3 months...Lets continue to pray and hope for the best..I saw some people getting approval within 4 months..I hoping all March fillers get approve in July...

it was probably an expedite. 2 months and a half seem a bit too fast to me. still i hope we all get approved in july or max august so we all can get married on still warm weather. as for "long distance relationships are romantic" thats the most non-romantic thing ever. people ask me as well how can people like us go without sex and it makes me feel weird. well i know sex is not the most important thing in a relationship but its STILL imprtant since thats probably the nr1 reason for cheating. my only cure for that is quantity and QUALITY whenever is possible so he'll know no woman is better LOL. and hey, it works

I emailed the march filer that got approved. It was not an expedition case. She was just as suprised as all the other march filers out there that she was approved so quickly. I guessits the luck of the draw. Im happy for them, and know that our approval day is slowly approaching. Best wishes to you all.

Regarding the statement of long distant relationships being romantic; they are NOT!! I wish everyday that my Berry was here to go through the everyday hustle and bustle; going to the store, watching a movie, going to dinner or even just waking up in the middle of night and just staring at the one you love. Those are romantic things to me. The people that believe that distance is romance need to stop reading love novels and think about how it would feel to not wake up with theo ne you love.

Definitely, long distance relationships are not fun at all. People goes crazy with movies and novels, books, etc... That doesn't happen in real life. THIS IS REAL LIFE, waiting for a visa, stressed, feeling lonely, upset, missing somebody so bad that even your soul hurts when you think about it.

There's only one good thing about this distance, and I have to say... When we get to be with the ones we love, for good... we, most of the times and most of us, appreciate our partners and our relationship way more than others that can be together every single day, 24/7. For us, it's more special to be together, every moment we can spend together is the most amazing thing, even if it's only laying down together, going to the store or just talking, but if it's person... it becomes the most important moment in your life, the most romantic, etc.

Anyway, I'd like to know from the girls here... Any of you are starting to plan the wedding? I know its hard to plan something when you don't even know when it's gonna happen BUT, for me, since we only have 3 months to plan once we get there and I don't know anything where my fiancé lives, I'm starting to see what I can do or choose from now, so when it comes to the right time, I won't be lost and asking for hahaha

So, any of you girls are already looking for something? Planning? or am I crazy for doing that? LOL

You are not crazy. However, we are planning on just doing a civil ceremony in the 90 day timeframe and then maybe later renewing our vows/planning something small. I can't imagine trying to set something up, especially if something happens and the visa isn't issued in time. It's just not very feasible.

LOL glad to know I am not! But that's cool, why not try a small ceremony, just for the family and close friends? That's what we're gonna do, something small yet romantic, for family and and friends... and something easy to plan. And you're right, I couldn't plan a huge princess wedding with this short time, and its not what we want anyway. This visa thing is the only difficult part, makes everything so hard , and good luck with your journey and wedding

well i might be the crazy one. we were thinking to make a small ceremony in american style when i get there, dressed goth since we're both metalheads. so im planning to order a black and red gothic dress for the small party in america and then do it in romanian style at my place next summer.

well i might be the crazy one. we were thinking to make a small ceremony in american style when i get there, dressed goth since we're both metalheads. so im planning to order a black and red gothic dress for the small party in america and then do it in romanian style at my place next summer.

Thats very different yet nice, bet it'll look awesome! Metalheads lol Good way to explain... I also want to do that, a small ceremony and party and then do one in brazil for my family and friends. Good luck
