Thank you so much everyone! I think we should be hoping for our NOA2 somewhere between Mid April to Mid May, because that would be about 5 months mark~*

Hello everyone,

I have a wee question about the timelines...

Around the bottom part of your timeline table, there is something like;

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between April 29, 2011 and June 14, 2011*.

I think the dates were different last night! it was something like "...between May 7, 2011 and May 22, 2011"

Does this thing change? and this is based on WHAT timeline?

would be great if you can kindly tell me~*

:D

At least you are getting a date.

This is what mine says:

"There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-129f will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals."

Im an October filer so I'm not that worried (yet). It would be nice to know some kind of "guesstimate".

Don't even pay attention to it, our dates moved from Nov/Dec to now March/April. Oh NOA-2, please just exist!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

I think the windows of time that the timeline is giving you are growing because of the oddball petitions that have been processed so quickly lately. These probably screw up the statistical analysis and make it so that your timeline has a bigger window. That's my two cents but I don't really know anything about statistics/math.

I think "between April 29, 2011 and June 14, 2011" is a very long period of time by the way...

This is because all of the recent approvals from February. It takes the average down but the standard deviation is off the charts now...so in order to be within that standard deviation the range must increase. California is doing a real number with the numbers. No doubt to make it appear like they are doing much better than they actually are.

This is because your processing center is wrong. You need to change it to either California or Vermont as that is where they are processed. Which ever one was on you NOA1. Texas does not process therefore there are not many petition timelines and thus your message.

I don't know how accurate these timelines are...but I'd be happy to be seeing April 29 on mine! You and I filed around the same time (my NOA1 date is 9th Dec), different petitions I know, but ours is saying between June 6 and July 14! Please, please don't be that long!!!

I really feel for those that have been waiting even longer...some August filers still waiting! Hope we all get our approvals ASAP!

This date means a lot. Since it is based on statistics and standard deviations, odds are, the date will be correct the sooner you get to it. If you don't get NOA2 by this time, your outside the standard and need to do something.

These dates have all pushed out as processing was slowed. You'll see the average days for approval going up or down just as your dates move since they are both based on recent data. Eventually, the USCIS will have to start making up for lost time and the dates will start going back down. They will probably start dropping at a consistant rate, maybe 1 week per month, maybe even faster. When I looked at data from previous years, this is exactly what happened. During some months, USCIS processed twice as many applicants as came in. If they do that again, your date should start moving down at a rate of 1 month per month. Wouldn't that be great? You'll have to wait and see. If your're a new filer, you can probably expect the date to keep moving down once it starts, giving you an NOA2 even sooner than it says now. For us, it was the other way around, but very consistent as USCIS fell behind.
