Hello everyone,

I have a wee question about the timelines...

Around the bottom part of your timeline table, there is something like;

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between April 29, 2011 and June 14, 2011*.

I think the dates were different last night! it was something like "...between May 7, 2011 and May 22, 2011"

Does this thing change? and this is based on WHAT timeline?

would be great if you can kindly tell me~*

HA--- I just read the disclaimer under the chart...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences

(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.

Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily

predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing

times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing

briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not

rely on them for planning.

Hehe, sorry... how silly i am *blushing*

From what I've read so far, the timeline data is based on the data provided by other VJ members on their official VJ timelines... So, I guess it changes as additional dates get input into the system.

So, basically this is just a rough gauge which may or may not accurately reflect the grand scheme of things at USCIS.

That being said, I'm also still pretty new to this and may not understand the whole timeline concept either.

However, in the last few days, we've seen a Jan2011 CR1/IR1 filer receive their NOA2 in Feb2011.... as well as someone saying they were told by a USCIS personnel that the VJ timeline estimate is an accurate gauge.

Soooooo... who knows, really?

This timeline is a guesstimate based on user input data here and is always changing due to the service centers slowing down or speeding up.

Here is the official explanation:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences

(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.

Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily

predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing

times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing

briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not

rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application

is past due.

Here is a few dates I saved from my timeline to see how they have changed over the last couple months!

12/15/10 : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 8, 2011 and March 17, 2011*.

01/06/11 : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 15, 2011 and March 22, 2011*.

02/01/11 : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 18, 2011 and March 23, 2011*.

03/03/11 : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 4, 2011 and April 20, 2011*.

Hi, From what I understand the adjudication date is based on information of VJ members input. Our's did change date 3 times. Our last date was February 28 - March 12 and finally yesterday March 2nd we were approved for NOA2, it took 5 months & 3 weeks from NoA1. I was going by the adjudication date, what I had planned was to wait after the 12th to call them since they're so far behind. I see people from August still getting approved, it's torture all the waiting and worrying. I wish everyone who is still waiting the very best :)

The timeline estimate is more of a guide to give you a feel for whether things are speeding up or slowing down. And, it is only as good as the data entered by VJ users.

When we first filed our I-129F in April 2010, our estimate was for mid-August to mid-Sept.. During June and July 2010, VSC really started speeding up with some approvals happening in only 8, 15, or 20 days... This really pushed our timeline estimate back to May/Jun (it was already mid-July.) If the average was somewhere around 30 days, then April petitions should be approved in May, right? Nope!

In the end, we received our NOA2 in late August, or right around the time of the original estimate.

Take the estimate with a grain of salt and don't worry if your case is running outside of the VJ estimate. The Current Processing Time for your service center (5 months for VSC back then, don't know about now) is what you need to keep in mind and be ready to follow-up with USCIS (and/or your Senators/Representative, if necessary.)

N-400

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

Mar. 14, 2016 - Biometrics

June 2, 2016 - Interview - Recommended for Approval
