Hi,

I had an interview on 10:30 but I was called at 12:45. I noticed that somethings might be wrong so i informed the one office that came out the door that why it had passed 2 hours why I hadn't beed called yet. after that half hour, I got called at 12:45. I felt they might missed my profile to call. Nothing was wrong about my interview. it went so fast like 10 minute. , Officer told me that you did Awesome on this interview, but the results on N-652 checked

==> you passed the tests of english .....

==> USCIS will send you a written decision your application

B) A decision cannot yet be made about your application.

Does anyone has any idea about this or Do i need patiently for 120days?

thanks so much :help:

Were you asked about traffic violations, seem to be having a bug as to whether you paid them or not. Have a common last name? Maybe somebody with your same last name was real naughty. Were you in the 3 or 5 year? Need lots of evidence for the three year, maybe you didn't have a joint utility bill. Most important, did you ask why?

Stepdaughters' interview only lasted about 12 minutes, she never asked why either, but a week later they wanted court cases as to why she had battery charges against her when she was 17 months old and living in Venezuela at the time that don't even keep court records, and why her drivers' license was suspended when it never was suspended. Called my senators office, was told it was a miscommunication, but still didn't get verification yet from the USCIS. Daughter is to shy to ask why, I would have had. But I am far more accustomed to dealing with government employee idiots. I did ask her what kind of questions she was asked, pointed to some sort of traffic violation question, did you ever get a traffic ticket was the question. But couldn't put a finger on anything else. Sure wasn't expecting battery or assault charges against her.

So why can't they tell you why a decision cannot be made?

Looks like you are going to be deported.

Just kidding. Many applicants get such a note as the supervising immigration officer usually goes through the files in a hurry to make sure everything is in order. Recommended for approval is pretty much as good as it gets, but what you got shouldn't alarm you just yet. Most likely you'll get an approval within the next 2 or 3 weeks unless . . . you have been a really bad boy and have some dead bodies in the trunk of which we don't know anything.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Pending N-400 Applications: A Serious Matter

Did you successfully pass your naturalization exam and then find yourself waiting months, even years, without another word from USCIS?

You are not alone. As an immigration attorney, I often hear from clients who have gotten so far as to pass their English and Civics test in connection with their application to become a naturalized citizen (Form N-400) only to find themselves waiting and waiting to be scheduled for their oath ceremony.

The government's answer to this delay is that the government is conducting mandatory FBI checks on applicants for citizenship, and are unable to schedule those applicants for their oath ceremony until the background checks are complete. Due to long wait times with the FBI, this wait can take many months.

There are three steps that you can take while you wait which should give you a better idea where the government is in adjudicating your application as well as piece of mind:

1. Wait six months from the date of your citizenship exam. This should be long enough for the government to obtain criminal background results from the FBI.

2. Call USCIS customer service at (800) 375-5283 to follow-up on your application. Make sure to have your Receipt Notice handy which contains your Receipt Number. This is the notice that you received from USCIS that acknowledged receipt of your N-400 application. The receipt notice should also contain your Alien Registration Number (also known as your "A number"), which customer service may request.

3. Schedule an InfoPass appointment. When you schedule an Infopass appointment, you will make an appointment to appear in person to meet with a USCIS customer service representative, with whom you can discuss your case.

If none of these options produce the answers that you are looking for and deserve, then you may want to consult with an immigration attorney. Make sure to keep a record of all of your communications with USCIS, as it may prove useful to show the steps that you took in the event of litigation. Your attorney may recommend filing an action in your state's district court, asking the judge to adjudicate the application or remand the case back to USCIS with instructions to reach a decision on your application within a certain number of days.

Under current U.S. immigration laws, it is important for lawful permanent residents to have the opportunity to became naturalized U.S. citizens because of the benefits and protection that U.S. citizenship provides. Once you are a U.S. citizen you can vote, apply for a U.S. passport, and petition for immediate relatives. There are certain jobs with the U.S. government that require U.S. citizenship. Moreover, until you are a U.S. citizen you are subject to the immigration laws, including the laws pertaining to removal and deportation. This means that even one mishap with the law can potentially land you in removal proceedings before an immigration judge. Therefore, the failure of the U.S. government to complete applications for citizenship is a serious matter for which it must be held accountable.

I just hope that Mine case is not going to wait until 6 months :crying:

There is a line above a decision cannot be made at this time that says, Congratulations, you have been recommended for approval! Pending final approval of course. But with that line, who is being approved? You, or the way your IO handed the interview?

There are no reasons given why a decision cannot be made yet at this time. Just a box that can be checked.

This attorney is talking about FBI checks, you already had that during your AOS stage, again for ROC at biometrics, again for citizenship at biometrics, if there were doubts about you at that time, why did they even waste time giving you the interview? I was with my stepdaughter when she opened her first bank account and she needed an FBI check before she could do that, it took them all but two minutes. Provided the banker could type in the correct information about that person. Recently purchased a gun that required an FBI check, must have been a real busy time, because that took ten minutes. So what is this attorney talking about with an FBI check taking so long? They spent billions on a super computer system!

But it only works if you type in the correct information, beginning to wonder if some of these USCIS can even type, some can barely speak English. In the case of my stepdaughter after I contacted my senators office, it was a miscommunication. Not being racist, but her IO was Chinese with limited English speaking ability. Is that the reason? Its bad enough calling tech support and talking to a guy that can't speak English, now the same thing with the government?

Then this attorney is talking about the NOA, good reason to send in a person check, that is the only way you have positive proof you sent in your application, have the canceled check in your hand.

Still didn't get in that letter of verification from the USCIS that there letter was a miscommunication, but very difficult for the USCIS to admit that made a mistake. Hope they don't keep us hanging on this issue. But still feel very strongly if they say, or just that single IO says, a decision cannot be make at this time, should be compelled to give you a reason. That is not the way to do business.

When u go to ur interview and everything go well, it's very common for the IO to say i need to review the evidence u submitted. or wants to talk to the Supervisor. .. thousands who got that. but with that they get approved.

as he said the interview was good and nothing went bad, but i dint see him talking about his arrest. but still, it's not a big thing to not stop the stop sign. i was driving 85 MPH on 55 MPH zone. with that, when i went to my Interview the IO, said. Beside ur speeding ticket have u ever been arrested? I said No. so she said nothing.

u can tell from the interview if went fine or not. but again about the arresting thing. I dont know. u need to bring a paper from the Court state that u are done with that case.

but still i feel he passed his test.
