i'm also looking for Personal Experience "if any" of the places them self. <<not really needed though>>

so far i have come around to finding the following 2 web sites

http://www.ciee.org/wat/

http://www.intrinsic.com.hk -Chinese site of Ciee.org

and

http://www.ccusa.com/

i'm just getting a bit desperate i'd say because i want to be with my Chinese Girl Friend very much, so i am looking for any real way. shes suggested on being a English Teacher in China but i would Assume that would need a College Degree of some sort. i know where her heart is and she means well but i am looking for a real way to at least be with each other.

anyways i Thank everyone on this site for putting up with me with everything i keep asking. :blush: just feeling a bit lost at this point and praying for luck. ^.^;

jobs in china generally suck. some of them pay extremely well, especially if you have an advanced degree in business management, are putonghua fluent, and are caucasian. technical people also do very well there, but only if working for a non-chinese company that is managed by non-chinese. even if you're American born chinese you don't get paid ####### by a chinese company.

chinese people don't make western salaries, so westerners working for chinese usually get only 2-5X what a chinese would (the white factor), which is starvation wages in the west. "english teachers" are a prime example. most get about $1,000 USD equivalent per month for a full schedule and have paid campus housing that is marginal, at best. that's OK money if you live in a backwater city, but forget about exotic vacations and 5 star hotels on the weekends. you usually get 1 paid round trip per year in the deal, but may have all kinds of trouble with your working visa and getting your passport back from the school admin in a timely manner.

then try to move back to USA with your fiancee/wife...think about being able to file the affidavits of financial support for your USA life.

read all about it. bevy up to the bar. i've been there from time to time...
