Hello every one!, im so upset with the NVC since August 7th we send the last papers ( application visa), and after 2 weeks i was hoping we got the case completed, but nope after 2 weeks (August 23th)we were notify by the NVC that in the I864 my husband send copies of it including the signature in copies why ??? because he made one original and took copies of it and they rejected just because the signature was photocopy and not original!!! Can you bealive it ???, so we send it back how they wanted on August 25th and we called yesterday to the NVC hoping we got the papers in one week since it was such a silly thing but nope we called on wednesday ( august 30th) and they just said they got our papers but they havent done anything with them and the machine says to wait again 2 to 6 weeks ughhh!!! i mean so much time just for checking a paper that has the signature in original since they alredy know nothing with the rest info is wrong  , so hopefully in middle september i get the case complete and with a horrible waste of time just for such a silly thing.

So i share my experience with all you guys , so you dont have such a silly delay by the NVC :(

I know the waiting game isnt easy, however.. I have to say it does say quite clearly in the I-864 instructions that the signature(s) on the paperwork must be original and not a photocopy, so it is understandable that it was sent back.. Also there is only 3 working days between the 25th Aug and 30th Aug so its not really that long.. try to be patient. I do wish you all the best with your process..

First of all, when something requires a signature, it has to be original. Photocopy is not accepted at all. I think, your case will be complete sooner than what the system is saying.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Atually, its not such a silly thing. An original signature is a very important part of any document, especially within the US Government system. This would be why all the instructions clearly state not to photocopy a signature. The mistake made obviously will put you behind a bit, but not too long, and now you just need to wait...have some patience because it was your error.

However good luck in the process and congratulations on your progress!
