Visa Approval...I think?

Hello VJers,

Well, my husband had his interview on February 22nd, and everything went very well. What an easy interview process!! The interviewer asked how we met and where I live, told my hubby that he has a nice Irish accent, and said his visa is approved barring any issues with the medical.

He did his medical an hour after the interview (we had kind of an odd situation, I know). The medical is, presumably, okay--no one contacted him to say otherwise, and his FIRST medical in Dublin was acceptable. The medical should have arrived at the London embassy on Friday, February 25th.

Here's the question: Does anyone know how long we can expect to wait for the passport & visa to be mailed to him? No one at the London embassy "help" line seems to have any information. They keep telling us that our paperwork is in the "visa processing unit" and they have no information regarding that. Hmm.

Anyone have experience with the London embassy? Even better...did anyone else complete the medical AFTER the interview? We're in visa approval limbo, I think.

Thanks in advance for any advice/personal anecdotes. :)

Can't help much on your question but congrats on the interview and pending approval. I would be willing to bet if you had a couple of days onto the normal time line from approval to arrival of passport you will be ok. You two were kind of tossed in the washing machine so I am proud that the cycle is ending and you will soon be together.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
