Hi! I was wondering, if my fiance visits me in the US while we wait for the mythical NOA2, should he tell the officer at the airport that he's visiting his fiance while we wait for our fiance visa to come through? I assume its always best to be honest, but could they refuse him entry if he said that? Would it raise red flags?

Thanks!

Be honest. Never, ever lie. Answer any questions honestly. The officer may ask for proof that he will be returning to his home country, so he needs to be prepared. Evidence of ties to home include things such as a return ticket, a letter from an employer stating when they're due back to work, copy of a lease, school schedule, etc. It's entirely possible to visit during the visa process. There's no guarantee that the beneficiary will get into the United States, but even if they are denied entry, it will have no negative impact on the visa process. So go ahead, it will likely be fine. :)

Hi there

I actually flew over from England to the USA 2 weeks ago and i had no problems what so ever. I did bring a couple things with me though, like my return flight itinerary and my wage slips from work, but i was through customs very quickly. He asked me 3 questions, 1 "whats the purpose of my trip" I answered to see my girlfriend, 2 "is she American" I answered yes, 3 "how long do you plan to stay in America" I answered 1 month. That was it and my passport was stamped within 2 minutes. This is the second time i have visited whilst we have been applying for the k1 fiance visa and i have had no trouble both times. Personally i wouldn't worry too much, just take evidence that you plan to return home and hopefully you will be fine. I know some people have had trouble in the past and i am by no means saying what happened with me, with it being so simple, is bullet proof but i just thought i would share my thoughts and hopefully this offers you some help :)

good luck

Yeah that's fine, she can totally travel to the states. I actually went to visit my fiancé like four times while on the K-1 process. I always told them the truth, and brought enough evidence to prove I was going to go back to MX. The last time I went (about a two months ago) I print all the itineraries of every time I went to the states while dating, I also showed him a copy of my NOA2, the letter that they have sent our file to the consulate and my return ticket. The officer saw everything, said: 'You have returned successfully before, so I see no problem in letting you in'. It took about two minutes (:

Good luck!
