Don't appear to be a Request For Evidence. Your NOA2 has been Approved. It sounds like good News but other Members who know this better than me. Please Add a Comment.

it doesn't mean Request for Evidence. probably only that they are working on the petition. preparing it to be sent to the Embassy. could be on it's way to Manila any day now.

It probably means they are doing some additional background checks.

I suggest you contact your congressman and ask to speak with the immigration liaison. The liaison can get through to the people working your case and find out what they are doing.

You can also call the Department of State and ask for some insight. Be sure to ask if this is truly "additional processing" (AP) or "administrative review"(AR).

We went into "additional processing". I contacted the DOS and liaison. We left NVC and on to Manila about 2 weeks after I called.

Have read that other VJ's were stuck in AP for 3 months and more so don't delay your calls and keep following up.

Good luck and hang in there...you are near the finish line!

Michael...I agree with you. It could be AR or AP. You never know how long it will take, so stay on top of it.

Ok, finally, I called NVC today and they said my case got forwarded to USEManila today. I still don't have a letter with the MNL# yet, just in an email but nothing that says it was forwarded. Will I receive this letter or can I send the email to my fiance so she can take medical exam?
