Removal of conditions approved...

Hey folks!

So as the title states, my approval was confirmed and they sent out my 10 year green card. The only problem being, they sent it to the wrong address as we had to move house and didnt do the AR11 in time.

We then filed an I-90 for them to send a replacement GC, but it still has not arrived and now I am being told that there is a 6 month wait on the completion of this form. 6 months would take me to over 1 year that the inital extension on my GC is good for, so im worried that will open a whole can of worms.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

You can always schedule an INFO-PASS and request an I-551 stamp in passport further extending evidence of status.

Bring I-751 NOA1 and Approval notices and explain the SNAFU to the officer there and confirm your correct address.

Note AR-11 and I-865 both have to be filed when move, AR-11 for green-card holder, and I-865 for Spouse/Sponsor.

When did they say they sent your original green card out? If they sent to the old address, isn't it suppose to be returned to them and you can just ask them to remail it?

Well, I guess you can just file for naturalization when you're approaching 90 days prior to your 3 year anniversary. That just in case you have to wait that long for your 10 years green card.
