I have an issue with my birth city and country. I was born in India while my mother was visiting

her parents. She was a Pakistani national at that time. Later when my father applied for my Pakistani

passport, he simply wrote the city name ( Indian ) but no country name for my birth place.

I later applied for US student visa and university issued i-20 ( F1 visa form ) stating my country of birth

as Pakistan. So all my papers went as city of birth ( Indian ) a country of birth as Pakistan

for immigration, sponsorship for my wife, citizenship and later for US passport. There was never any issue so far.

Now I want to sponsor my mother who is totally dependent on me as a widow. She was born in the same city as I was and her Pakistani passport says the same with city and country of birth as India ( she was born before India and Pakistan were divided in 1947 ).

I was born in 1952.

If now I fill I-130 say my birth country as Pakistan and hers as India, will that cause any issue?

What should I do to fix this error?

I discussed this one lawyer and he thinks that it was a clerical mistake so should not be a problem and can be corrected.

Thanks for any help.
