We're traveling to Tokyo in a couple of weeks to file my wife's CR-1 petition. The petition meeting will be in the afternoon, and to save a second trip to Tokyo, would there be any trouble with getting her medical examination done in the morning, before the petition is filed? I know that the visa will only be good 6 months from the date of the medical, but that fits in our timeline. Will the examination be valid before submitting the petition?

I'm not sure about Tokyo, but from what the Paris one says, is that the Medical Appointment is within a month of the interview. There's some blood work that is done, apparently. But, as for your answer, I only have nothing. Let us know how your interview goes! By the way, how long did you have to wait from the time you submitted the I-130 to getting scheduled for an interview? I'm curious to know as I will be filing my I-130 for my wife within the next two weeks. Hooray, another trip to Paris.

Thanks for the input! Well, we haven't filed the I-130 yet, so I can't answer your question. That's what our trip to Tokyo is for. Anyway, I'll let you know after we submit it.
