Is the physical NOA 2 required for adjust of status, or will a picture of the noa2 that was taken with a digital camera work?

You're supposed to have the actual NOA2 with you for the adjustment of status interview, if you're called for one. With our AOS package we sent a copy of the NOA2 and we took the original to the interview. We weren't asked for it anyway!

Have you lost yours?

Yes we lost it. but we only have a picture from it and we are fixing our package for the AOS, do you know how much cost get one new copy and how long does it take...

Thanks.

You need to file the form I-824 and request a duplicate. Unfortunately, filling fee is $405.00 and it takes 3-6 months to get it.

This is the link with the information: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=dd153591ec04d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

PS, Don't know if sending a copy of a picture is OK or not. Keep in mind that if you are called for an interview, you will need to take the original. So it's up to you.

good luck

I wouldn't waste your time with paying for a new one. You're not the only one who's lost it. usually people will take their NVC letter as a substitute. How clear is the photo of the form? If you printed it in black and white like a regular photocopy would it look like a photo? Or photocopy?

A friend of mine applied. There's lots of threads about what to do if you can't find your NOA2. You can try searching for them or if you want to pay go ahead. I'm just telling you it's a waste because I know of no-one that's been rejected by submitting alternate docs.

Have a good look around. If you're gunna pay for it you may as well REALLY look around. The USC would have received it.
