I wish their was a "next recourse"! Seems that the whole system of checks and balances doesn't apply to USCIS.

I'm just waiting for the day that i have to wait for 7 months and then have them say, sorry we can't seem to find your petition.

I wonder what the easiest way would be to bring it to the attention of Pres. Obama? This change is not working out...(snickers)

09/21/10 - I-129F Sent!

09/23/10 - I-129F Received in Dallas, TX

09/28/10 - Text & E-mail NOA1 (It was at 12:44AM, weird) Notification that our case was transferred to VSC.

09/29/10 - Check cashed

09/30/10 - NOA-1 Hard Copy dated Sep. 27, 2010

10/03/10 - TOUCH!

After numerous calls to USCIS, my two Texas Senators and a Congressman, the latter got an "expedite" put through (if you can call a month and a week after ONPT an expedite). Just never let up! Even though mine took way too long, there were people who were a month before me and waited longer because they just sat back and watched. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!"

03/31/11 - NOA-2!

04/05/11 - Received NOA-2 hard copy.

04/07/11 - NVC Received

04/12/11 - Case left NVC via DHL

04/14/11 - Consulate Received Hard Copy of Case

Oh my goodness that's horrible! So sorry to hear that, on the bright side however, someone is looking at your case. How do these people (USCIS) sleep at night?!

Obama is the one who caused this whole mess with his TPS garbage.

USCIS has no checks and balances. They are a kingdom where the king does what he wants and can do no wrong.

Actually, it is more like Oceana from George Orwell's 1984. Not even kings block people from marrying their beloveds for months at a time with no end in sight.

@Al422 - You are at 5 months, might I inquire as to what you will do now? I'm always looking for fresh ideas.

I am also in my 5 months mark and they told us to wait 30 more days , because just after those 30 extra days it is considered that our case out of the normal processing time and we can apply for an expedited process, may be that is why they are approving the I129F one or two days before the 6 months of waiting. And they also told us that are processing the ppl that apply on the 24th of august now, so it’s like a month away from all of us :(

I filed two Congressionals with specific political contacts I have been nurturing these past five months for this exact purpose. I will give them a week before I call the phone boys myself.

What is this mythical NOA2 you speak of?? I've been waiting forever as well... and my received date was 11/05/2010 and it hasn't been touched since 11/10/2010. LAME. Hang in there and keep us updated :)

I'm right there with you guys. Our first NOA was November 10th. We haven't heard a peep since then. I hate feeling so helpless, and not knowing when or what's next. Best of luck to you guys!

That is the most ridiculous and unfair thing I have ever heard! The reality is that you are probably going to get your NOA2 soon anyway - I have heard a lot of promising stories NOA2 approvals very soon after the RFE evidence was sent in...but seriously, I would be so angry anyway!!!

09/02/10 Mailed I-129F

09/07/10 NOA1

03/17/11 NOA2 approved

06/06/11 Interview. Visa approved. Told we'll get visa in 7-10 days. Lies.

07/12/11 Visa in hand

07/15/11 Arrival in the U.S.

07/21/11 Marriage

07/28/11 Mailed I-485

08/03/11 NOA for I-485

08/29/11 Biometrics

10/17/11 Greencard interview. Approved.

Maybe try calling the USCIS helpline? Just say you are wondering if there is any additional information you can provide, or if there is anything else they need. Usually they will give you a more detailed case status as well. My fiancee called and they were able to tell her the approximate date we would receive our noa2. Good luck!

Four months down...who knows how many more to go?! I'm not expecting anything before the end of April, but we're not beyond hoping for a miracle!
