Just look at me! I'm hideous !

Jax (F)

hey.........does an arrest affect someone becoming a citizen?

Yes and no. It depends on what the arrest was for and if he was charged or not. Immigration views things, even dismissed or dropped charges, differently. You have to find out if it qualifies for the petty offense exception or not. If it is considered a crime involving moral turptitude(the list of what qualifies as such is pretty long) then removal proceedings could begin when the naturalization app or green card renewal is filed.

The best advice I can give you is to consult with an immigration lawyer. Criminal lawyers are now required by law to inform you of how charges/pleas/convictions will affect your immigration status. Lizz Cannon in boston offers free consultations.

I'm looking but not finding. Any hints what to look for? Post date?

Let's just say that if you put your photos on this board, parties (be they VJ members, islamophobic bloggers or just random passers by) with potentially nefarious purposes may feel free to abscond with said photos and do tawdry things with them.

capisci?

And speaking of nefarious islamphobic bloggers who do tawdry things to VJ members' pictures, she who shall not be named just linked to the post re: the incident that shall not be mentioned in a new post of hers.

There is something missing from that link. I read it on the news yesterday, though, if it's the story I'm thinking about. The girl is 13 and her parents wanted to take her to Pakistan for an arranged marriage so she ran away................................

What woman? I assumed the link was about the runaway girl that hid out with her uncle for 8 days because her mom (American) and step-dad (Pakistani) wanted to take her to Pakistan and marry her off........

The woman is the hateful b!tch blogger we were telling everyone about who stole pics and personal info from this board. We can't name her or link to her here; it's against site rules, but, she is once again referring to this site, and her past article insulting women from VJ MENA.

Wow, up until this point I had no idea about any of this. Alittle google and it popped right up even with pictures of a regular MENA family.

I didn't know about it either. And it's people I know. Makes me hate that woman even more.
