Will NVC accept a yahoo email address from my mother and me? or does it have to be a different domain?

CP for Mom in Pakistan:

11/3/2010: I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

11/5/2010 : Packet received at Lockbox

11/9/2010 : Acceptance email and text message received & case transfered to Vermont Service Center

11/13/2010: NOA1 received, now the wait begins....

11/16/2010: Case touched

01/04/2011: I130 Approved ! 57 days.

I used my yahoo with NVC..they send me emails through my yahoo account and i sent replies and inquiries using same account.

Another question. I didn't call NVC to register my email, even though the I-130 was approved in January and they already sent out the DS-3035 and I-864 bill in the mail. Is it too late to register my email with them? or can I go ahead and do it now?
