10/17/11 Greencard interview. Approved.

Oh totally agree that I deserve it. My heart sank yesterday when I read the email and I couldn't believe they actually wanted me to wait another 6 months for a decision. Perhaps we shouldn't believe in any responses they send whenever we put in service requests. It's all so quick and I am still in disbelief that they have finally approved it.

A piece of advice from us; if they respond with a ridiculous wait time when you send a service request, call them and ask them what they are playing at. Put in another service request for more information and keep pushing them until they do some work.

Sorry, this is OT, but what is a "touch" on your timeline?

All it means is that someone at the service center scanned your petition for some reason. It does not mean that they did anything to it other than scan it.
