I arrived on a flight from UK to LAX at 2:30pm in the afternoon which you would think would be a busy time. I had allowed a six hour connection time taking into account standing in line and secondary inspection etc. However, it took all of 45 minutes including the time to physically get off the plane. They were very professional, knew exactly what to do and there was no secondary inspection. I even had to go through the Food and Agriculture section as I had declared wedding cake in my bags but they just waved me through so no delay there.

A very good experience with no delays or difficulties whatsoever.

You should be fine, but in this day and age with all the possible security issues, who really knows.....

We had a terrible time at LAX.

There was a shift change in the early evening and we had a long wait. There were other people in line ahead of us, which made our wait even longer. Either way, it sucked. LAX personnel did know what they were doing, but it just took a long time. Maybe over an hour...
