Speaking of Trolls...this guy had me in tears laughing.... I think he's a bit mental...

Gingers are so sensitive! :P

So, I just receive a private personal email (not a PM) from someone, lets call her Russian Sphynx, condemming me and damning me for my horrible comments on the win a bride post, and telling me how immoral and such terrible person I must be to not understand the plight of these poor girls!! #######??? Some people really need to get away from the bon-bons and fantasy island world and take a breath of air here.

The Femen girls are not women's lib'ers fighting the good fight!! They are typically hot college students making a few bucks jumping around half naked holding signs that they don't even care about and most times don't even know what's written on them.

Sorry for the rant, but I don't appreciate someone sending me a personal email calling me God aweful names for something that is comletely misunderstood by your average Sphynxter.

Really? what a no-life.

My point in assigning blame is the illegal sex trade would stop dead in it's tracks if the girls stopped leaving home. They sign up for questionable deals in questionable countries and then folks want to blame it on someone else.

If I went to the hood to take a job "watching out" and then claimed I'd been robbed by a crack dealer, is it the fault of the crack dealers? Is it the fault of the city managers, police, zoning commission, etc.?

Or is it maybe my fault for doing business with shady people in shady places? "But I signed on to watch the hallway. I didn't know the crack dealers were going to beat me up and steal all my money."

True. And why would you sign on for a job like that? Because maybe you are desparate?

One of the problems with the FSU is that alot of people were doing very well in the FSU and they are really not too happy that the gravy train came to a halt. They did not take the communists in the woods and shoot them, they are still there. The SU didn't really collapse, it was dismantled carefully and the pieces sold off for personal gain. This leaves the average person in a prety difficult situation, though better than before. There is no question the quality of life is better in most places now than when I moved there in 2004 and better in 2004 than in 1998, etc. But there are still a lot of people willing to do what they have to do to survive. There are a lot of women that realize they are "sitting on a gold mine" so to speak. I have been most disappointed actually to see the huge increase n the number of prostitutes in Donetsk from jst a few years ago. It is a particularly depressed area and it seems that lots of village girls come to make "easy money" but I think maybe it is not so easy. The customers do not have a lot of money either.

But in the time I have been familiar with Ukraine, it has been constant political infighting and bickering over who is going to profit from their oiece of the Soviet pie and the people are pretty much left to themselves.
