Back to English. Gary is right actually. Of course FEMEN are paid. So are most of protesters in FSU countries. "Orange Revolution" was paid all the way through. I know some people, who have been there, on Independance Square in Kiev, and they were saying "Yeah, we're getting paid for it, but it's the only possible way for a Ukrainian student to make some money without having to work in McDonalds".

I was there during the Orange Revolution and I PROMISE you they were paid! I lost dozens, scores, of men off my crews because they got paid more to go to the protests. It was an exciting time. A lot of the money came from the US. ####### Cheney and Condelleza Rice stopped by to drop a few million in Yushenko's war chest before he ate the bad blowfish, or whatever it was. How do you think thousands of Ukrainians suddenly got the cash to buy train tickets to Kiev?

And do you think my bosses gave me a quarter because of a measly revolution? They really didn't want to hear of my troubles with the local wildlife.

I used to catch a couple ladies coming out of my apartment house in Odessa. "Where are you two lovely ladies off to?" The trian station, there is a protest. "Protest for what?" Who cares? It pays $10 for 1 hour! (clothes stayed on for that price)

There were always protests around the train station. One day the ladies would be protesting a war, the next weekend they were protesting peace. Sometimes they handed out flyers for a relifious organization. The next day, handing out flyers for a dance club. Our son always make some spending money when we visit by handing out fluyers or going to hold signs at a "protest" or political rally. He doesn't care which party, they give him $5 or $10. Alla knows some people that know "organizers" ans she just tells Pasha to go meet them somewhere and they give him work for a few hours.

Registered recently, no profile, no timeline hasn't been to Ukraine in a few years and is an expert on paid college girl protesters in Ukraine, and has had little else to discuss other than paid "protesters" then runs off and whines in other places.

I will argue the women being paid to show their breasts and hold signs in a foreign language are doing nothing to help the problem. But I have NO objection to their protests.

Isn't that all this post was "Supposed" to be about until trolls appeared with self righteous banners trying to make the Femen girls out to be more than what they are ?? God I hope they are out there waving signs, showing boobs and making a few bucks when I'm there in Kiev square in a few weeks ... I definitely support their ahem...Cause of the week...

So, I just receive a private personal email (not a PM) from someone, lets call her Russian Sphynx, condemming me and damning me for my horrible comments on the win a bride post, and telling me how immoral and such terrible person I must be to not understand the plight of these poor girls!! #######??? Some people really need to get away from the bon-bons and fantasy island world and take a breath of air here.

My point in assigning blame is the illegal sex trade would stop dead in it's tracks if the girls stopped leaving home. They sign up for questionable deals in questionable countries and then folks want to blame it on someone else.

If I went to the hood to take a job "watching out" and then claimed I'd been robbed by a crack dealer, is it the fault of the crack dealers? Is it the fault of the city managers, police, zoning commission, etc.?

Or is it maybe my fault for doing business with shady people in shady places? "But I signed on to watch the hallway. I didn't know the crack dealers were going to beat me up and steal all my money."
