Has anyone ever seen shots of these girls protesting? I was at work yesterday and googled Femen.....and weeeeeeooooooowwww!!! Iv'e been following those FEMEN chicks online for a year now...and they are HAWT!!!

On a side note...that Ukrainian gal is going to most likely eat up and spit out her NZ husband. Iv'e been shot at,knifed a few times, and my current wife is the only person I know who can make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would rather go toe to toe with a brown bear than a RUB chick if it came down to it.

Some can, of course. Many cannot. These girls are students or just girls working 60 hours per week for $300 per month. It is the easiest thing in the world to find a dozen hot women that will take off their tops and jump around in the street for $20-50 each. It is a time honored technique to get protesters in Ukraine.

Ukraine feminists protest ‘Win a Wife’ competition (AFP)

1 March 2011, KIEV — Ukrainian feminist activists held a protest in Kiev on Tuesday to express outrage at the forthcoming visit of the winner of a national radio competition in New Zealand to “Win a Wife”.

Activists from the Femen group, which uses stripping as a shock tactic, braved wintry temperatures in central Kiev, holding banners with slogans such as “Ukraine is not a brothel”.

New Zealand’s male-oriented The Rock FM radio station ran a competition called “Win a Wife,” offering a 12-night trip to Ukraine organised by a bride agency.

The station announced the winner as a winemaker named Greg, who is due to fly into Ukraine’s gritty coal mining town of Donetsk on March 23, before travelling to the industrial town of Zaporizhia.

Femen’s members wear little but flower garlands for frequent protests against Ukraine’s sex industry and targeting of Ukrainian women by international agencies that organise sex tours.

“Femen warns the ‘lucky’ winner of the New Zealand competition that he can expect an unhappy ending in Ukraine,” activist Olexandra Shevchenko said in a statement on the movement’s blog.

“Ukraine is not a brothel and Ukrainian women are not prostitutes.

I read today that a grape grower/wine producer/farmer won that contest. He gets an all paid three week trip to the Donetsk region where he gets to select his bride. They didn't say how many chicks he gets to select from, but it sounded like he hit the mother load.

Yes, exactly. Coal and steel. Horrible place actually. From the air it looks like Dante's inferno. Factories belching flame and smoke and the air is always kind of yellow-grey. The region has the world's highest levels of mercury poisoning, very high cancer rates...really, stuff you will not read about in the Chamber of Commerce flyer. PLUS it is downstream from Chernobyl. The coal mines pay more than any other job but they are horrible places. 19th century technology, no kidding, and hundreds of men are killed every year in the mines. Safety is overlooked for bribes. Imagine that!

I am always amazed at the things American's complain about regarding "pollution". Man, we have nothing on those places. The whole "Dombass" region is like this. So is the lower Volga region in Russia, all the way to Volgograd.

My wife shed a little more information on this article because what you read is only the tip of the ice berg: the women are protesting the "win a wife" contest, but what is at the core of their protest is the sex trade industry and how Ukrainian women are being brutalized, raped, and even killed because of it. These "win a wife" contests only cause more problems and sometimes it's sex traders who are behind these gimmicks. It's because of attitudes like "win a wife" that turn women into mere commodities to be treated like cattle. I don't know about anyone else, but my Ukrainian wife was outraged. Rightly so imho.

Ukraine knows where most of it's women disappear to in regards to the sex industry...one look south to Turkey and the middle east about sums it up. Not saying that it doesn't happen in other places, but for Ukrainian women Turkey is the #1 spot followed by Lebanon, Dubai, UAE, etc.. and some of these women go voluntarily and some are lied to, beaten, and have their passport taken from them. It's a very shady industry that needs to be stomped out. Ukraine knows the score, and they know where to look....they just choose not to.

Sure the promotion in Australia was probably a very big hit and you can bet that after the trip this guy will be back on the radio and probably the local TV. But, depending on how open this guy's eyes are, he will either have a fabulous trip and a very enjoyable trip. It's pretty hard to see a downside to his part, except for being taken by possible scams. Hopefully this is really on the up and up and that the agency is looking to spread a lot of good will.

Can you imagine what it could be like for this guy assuming it's being promoted in Donetsk. He could be seeing 50 women in just the first day and asked to pick 10 for dates. But then, it could be 95kg women with more hair on their backs than him.

This guy sounds like a simple type farmer who has probably never been outside of NZ unless you count Oz. He's going to be blown away I think by everything he see's, and in a good way I would think. Chances are he's going to meet a nice gal over there, and it will be a happy ending.

That and he's going to have some eye candy to show off to his friends when he gets back home.
