Morning everyone,

I decided to have a lazy day and not go into work. Shhh, I am really not sick.

March is here, wow crazy how the months are flying by. Hoping to get our NVC case number soon so we can be ready when the Cairo Embassy opens back up.

Good Morning Rosie and MENA.

Happy March 1st!

It has been exactly one year ago today that hubby got his visa from DHL. One day AFTER I left Egypt!!! LOL figures.

I'm sitting at work wondering where all my patients are today. Nobody is wanting to come in. Ha, I wouldn't want to either..

Have a great day!!

Happy March All!! After starting off with a good rain, it's turning out to be a sunny Florida day

Busy week ahead finalizing my prep for immigration meeting on Thursday morning to go over this insane RFE, then flying out Friday night to visit my hubby for 10 days!!! I can't wait, I am so excited I don't know how I'm gonna focus on working these next few days, it's been 7 months since I left Egypt...

Andrea, I noticed your comment about how you husband had difficulty getting his release papers from the military...did he serve and if so how long? Mine just finished his service a week ago, he was supposed to go pick up his certificate today...hope it all went well as I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet ...hope to catch him before I go to work.

Hope everyone has a great month and all of our processes move along smoothly and quickly as possible.

Hard to believe that March is already here! Im ready for crawfish season in Texas!!! Whenever that is, there will be a big crawfish boil at our house. Any friends and family in the area or (want to fly or drive out here) are welcome! My family will do the buying and cooking it! I so missed out on crawfish for the 12 yrs I lived in Georgia! Adam absolutely loves the stuff!

Im sooo ready for the weekend. Work is stressful and hectic. My store just had a meeting and said we are around 95 people short handed. Umm yah did they JUST figure this out!? I've been saying this for a long time! We just opened up 95 positions, which I dont know where in the world we will find them all in this little bitty town!

Adam is doing so good at work and hes making great money and a very hard worker. He did have one co worker recently though make an uncalled for comment about him. Someone at work said something he didnt quite understand and when he asked for it to be explained to him, they said, "I dont know why Egyptians come over here if they cant understand what we are talking about." Adams english is clear and fine but obviously there will be a word that he's never come across before.

And at work during the Egyptian protests at the beginning of Feb, I was helping the cashiers get the lines down and a customer was complaining about the price of eggs, bread, milk ect and made the comment..." Did we get our eggs and bread from Egypt?" I said No, but I sure got a husband from there! And I sure am proud of the Egyptian people! She shut up after that.

Wanted to share some information from the new embassy update for the ones still in NVC. like me. Since I am not done with NVC yet, only getting started.

I did found this section helpful.

"Immigrant visa applicants who have not yet been interviewed by a consular officer may request another U.S. Embassy to accept their immigrant visa case for processing. Any request must be sent directly to the Immigrant Visa Section of the relevant embassy. Information on which U.S. embassies and consulates process immigrant visas is available at http://travel.state.gov/. "

Good evening Rosie!

I'm cooking dinner for Adam when he gets off tonight. Steamed broccoli, rice and shake & bake chicken.

I'm off for the next 3 days! Hope to have the same great weather we had today so we can start working in our yard.

My husband had a traumatic day today... He was waiting for me to come cut his hair with the clippers and I hear "okay, I am just going to play with it, not mess it up!... Oh no, I messed it up!" he had forgotten to put the length guard on the clippers and started to shave his head. Ended up with a big bare patch behind one of his ears. I laughed before I could help myself, and I felt bad got him, but all I could think wad, thank God it wasn't me that did it! I ended up having to shave almost all of it off, and now Dahlia won't let him hold her without crying because he looks different :P

Ugh, sorry for the double post, phone is weird and I can't edit from here!

Anyway, I told him this will lessen his prep time, no combing and re-combing, moisturizing, etc. The man used to take twice as long as it took me to get myself and two kids ready!

hahahha Too funny.

Sorry I didn't know you asked me a question! He did serve his time and the problem was they are held accountable to possible being called back into service for 10 years after they serve, or reach 30 years old, which ever comes first. Well he was called back into service about 2 years after he got out but for some reason they never contacted him at home!! Which is ridiculous because he lived in the same house his whole life!

So basically he was AWOL for oh, 12 years! Nobody ever said anything or sent mail, called, whatever. It wasn't brought up until AFTER he received his visa to come here and he went to get his travel form. He ended up basically going to court over this and after a BIG restitution payment, he was given his travel release form. It goes to show you how corrupted their government really was. You pay out enough money and you can buy anyone!

Just make sure that your husband is released from being called back is all I can say!

TGIF MENA! I am so happy the weekend is finally here! Just being able to sleep in a little bit is so exciting right about now!
