DS-230 Documents (Original or Photocopies)

I am organizing the documents to attach with my mother's DS-230. My question is, does it have to be the original documents or is photocopies OK and my mother will present the originals when she goes to her interview at the embassy? I have read other posts saying it has to be original and I am worried that the original copies will get lost which happens sometimes. The form DS-230 will be original of course or is scanned copy OK? I sent original and photocopy of each document they requested. Just make sure to send it through fed ex or dhl or any postal service that you can track the package. The original will be returned to you or to your mom on the day of the interview.

Need to be original or certified copies sent to NVC for document processing at NVC, unless is an electronic processing consulate like Canada or. China where you optin and the scan all docs and email to NVC.

The docs will be returned to benificiary at interview.

What does it ask for on DS 230? I would send copies and have them certified. Originals in the mail is risky business.

Original Document Requirements

You and each family member immigrating with you to the United States must submit to the NVC original documents issued by an appropriate authority, or certified copies of those documents listed in this section.
