Hello All,

Just a quick update for anyone that might remember our past few posts of her failing then becoming ill. Her cancer treatments seem to be going well for now but our visa journey together has come to an unexpected end. We, Tuyen's family and I, found out that she has been cheating on me with a boyfriend in HCMC. I think her family was just as saddened and disappointed as I was. She lied to everyone; me,her family and her boyfriend. I wish the Vietnamese woman I fell in love with would had been real.

As you should do with any relationship, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!

I am not sure I would go through this process again but visajourney was a big help and I know I would not make the same timeline mistakes I made this time.

I wish for you all the best of luck on your visa journeys and a happy life.

very very sorry to hear this Tim...keep your head up bud. Wish you the best of luck with all that is to come...some things just aren't meant to be, and I am glad you found out sooner than later.

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

05/15/2014 - Check cashed

05/12/2014 - NOA Date

06/11/2014 - Biometrics Appointment

09/15/2014 - Inline for interview scheduling (was stuck in "Initial Review" for over 3 months!)

10/27/2014 - Scheduled for interview

12/01/2014 - Interview

12/19/2014 - I AM A US CITIZEN!

Easy for me to say but this too shall pass. I will make you wiser, smarter and love deeper because you will know better what to look for in a partner as well as knowing yourself better. Just don't let it make you paranoid that all women will do the same because that isn't true. There is the other half of your heart waiting for you to meet. Patience and time will heal your hurts. Sorry to hear this Tim... Serious health issues have been known to cause people to make really bad decisions... You are not the first filing through HCMC to report something like this... It happens too often. At least once each year since I have been here..
