Hi everynbody. I had my interview today and it was very good,

The consular asked only 3 questions and then just

Made me sign the visa application ds230 and said all our

Documents and relationship proof was good except

That I needed to get a new birth certificate and marriage

Certificate so she gave us a paper saying that we needed

To bring those documents to the embassy and then after they receive them

They would call me back to go into the embassy and just to bring my passport

Is that a goood thing?????? Are we almost approved?? Anybody had the same situation

And if so what was the process did it take long?? Consular lady said all

Was good and said the sooner we bring it the faster it will get done.

Thank u in advance

It means get thos documents NOW and send them. Then you will be called to give your passport so they can give you the visa in it.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

It means you are approved pending the documents they asked for. As soon as you get those docs and your passport to them, you will get your visa.

Congrats, only a little ways to go now.

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

Interview Preparation - Required Documents

PrintEmail

Page 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Required Documents

The applicant is responsible to bring all required original documents to the interview, except for documents already submitted to the NVC. Failure to bring all required original documents to the interview may cause delay or denial of the visa. The following documents must be available at the interview:

Appointment Letter received from the NVC

Passport(s) valid for six months beyond the intended date of entry into the United States

Police Certificate(s)

Birth Certificate(s)

Court and prison records, if applicable

Military records, if applicable

Color photographs

Marriage Certificate, if applicable

Evidence of financial support (e.g. Affidavit of Support, a notarized offer of employment, or evidence of assets)

Divorce decree or death certificate of spouse, if applicable

Family-based cases: All original documents establishing the relationship between the petitioner and the applicant

Employment-based cases: A currently valid letter from the prospective employer confirming the essential elements of the job offer

Note: All documents not written in English or in the official language of the country in which the interview takes place MUST be accompanied by a translation in English. Translations must be certified by a competent translator and notarized. Translations submitted to the NVC will be included in the applicant’s case file.

I don't understand the need for these things repeatedly at every single step. Birth certificates don't change overnight. :bonk:

ANYWAY CONGRATS YOU'RE ALMOST DONE!!!!
