Hi all,

I dont know if this is the right place to post this one. But this is concerned about expiring and renewing my passport. ( As of feb 28, 2011 ) The Philippine Embassy Washington D.C to condut consular services in the next state where i live on march 27, 2011. This is an opportunity for me to apply but my passport wont expire until feb 2012. My question is, is it possible to apply 11 months before expiration? Does anyone has an idea? Would appreciate it, thanks!

In England, you can renew it whenever you like, and they will add anything up to 9 months still remaining on the new passport.

However I do not know if it varies by country!

I've moved this topic from Off Topic to the Philippines Regional Forum as a more likely place to obtain the correct information as it is Philippines specific

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

That is good to know but my passport right now is already on my married name. I just want to take the chances that they will be in the next state than waiting on december and driving to Washington D.C for about 9-10 hrs, really hope it works.

I renewed my passport 11 months before its expiration when the Consulate had their outreach here in Atlanta,I do not want to go to DC and spend hrs. of travel for a $50 passport and i did'nt had any problem.
