Not allowing self-service is silly? I agree.

I haven't been in NJ for about 20 years but I do remember that now. The attendant started putting gas in my car and set the automatic cutoff to move on to the next customer. Well, it shut off within seconds, obviously too early, and I, being from a self-service state (and not knowing it was illegal there), got out to finish the job myself instead of waiting for his return. He didn't like that. cool.gif

Yeah they can get in a lot of trouble for that.

The latest thing now, is when I fill up the truck, the pump shuts off before I get a full tank, at either 75 or 80 dollars.

Yep.. That's why they've up the pre-auth hold from $75 to $100 around here. Happened to me once when I tried to fill the truck and the boat during the same transaction. Not even close!

Very Interesting, Bernanke today state that if petrol approaches 5.00 USD we can expect the economy to reverse into another recession.

which means he can print more money!

You should get your gas in Jersey. Hop over to Elizabeth, gasbuddy says you can get gas there now for 3.09.

...the thing I don't like about getting gas in Jersey is that STOOPID state law that you can't pump your own gas...so you have to wait for someone to cue it up/pump it...now that is really silly. I blame unions!:lol:

From what I've seen Connecticut consistently has the most expensive gas in the NE states.

3.64 in Vallejo Area today.

how often do you guys fill up your gas tanks?

I have business every thursday in the Napa Valley area so I stop and refill once a week in American Canyon. I probably use about 10 gallons a week (much of it is my Thursday drive - about 120 miles round trip). Though my car gets 35 mph on these trips.
