Hello!! I got my AOS interview wednesday and i'm kinda nervous!!We got all the paper straight and i got a lot of evidence like pictures,letters,emails,my name on his life and medical insurance, ect The only thing that make me nervous is that i got here in the us with the I-94 cause I didnt know i was goin to get married so soon!!My lawyer said that probably we will only have to pay a fine of 250$. Does anyone know something about it?? Anyone had an AOS interview in kc?

Good Luck for wednesday.....

I came on a VWP and got married..... stayed and did AOS.... we did not have to pay any fines....

as long as you did not enter with the intent on remaining you should not have any problems....

We were not even asked about it at our interview...

Never heard of any fines for that...good luck though!!

08/01/2011 N400 send to Nebraska

08/04/2011 received by Nebraska

I don't think you will be fined for that. My husband and I were married 9 days after he entered the US and they didn't say a word about it. I also saw someone on here once who was married only 1 day after she entered the US. So you have nothing to worry about there.
