Thanks No-Ten i did pass (what a relief lol). The lady I had was very nice and the questions were easy questions. They are all very nice there. We arrived early and went in about 25 minutes before my appointment (10:55 am). Cleared security, gave my letter to the lady security told me to sat down and was called about 10 minutes later. I was out ot there at 11:20 am. While I was in there we chatted a bit as well so very much at ease. No-Ten just to let you know the building that my GPS told us was not the right building, it was next door and they do have a sign for Homeland Security just to let you know it is a white building with a flagpole in front of it.

Same here I don't quite feel like a citizen since i have no proof and the idea of my certificate (only evidence of citizenship) floating around somewhere doesn't make me feel good. Once i have the passport in hand, Then I can feel like a citizen.

Right ??? i fell the same way. All my roommates thinks that i am crazy. I will only feel like a citizen when i get that passport in my hands.

Right ??? i fell the same way. All my roommates thinks that i am crazy. I will only feel like a citizen when i get that passport in my hands.

When did you applied for your passport ? and where ? I applied on the 22nd of july here in Manhattan .

I applied for mine on the 15th of July and still waiting. The lady at the passport office said it will take 4 to 6 weeks so I've got 3 more weeks till I start worrying. I didn't think it was necessary to pay an extra $100 for the expedited service since I'm not travelling till December.

How do you guys do an early walk in FP, do you need to ask them to schedule one because you can't make the originally scheduled FP or what?

No need to make an appointment to do the walk-in FP as long as you have your letter with you. I've never heard from anybody here on VJ that got turned away.

I applied for mine also at the post office but a week before you and the online status says YOUR PASSPORT IS IN THE FINAL PROCESSING STAGE. Whatever. so I'm thinking we should get them by next week? Hopefully.
