I had my interview today! The IO went through my application with me, then asked me to read "Who is on the dollar bill?" and write "Washington is on the dollar bill." He then asked me the civics questions -- and it seemed like he only asked me 6 or 7. After that he told me my application was approved and I will receive my oath ceremony letter in the mail. He said it was likely that my oath would be June 23rd!

So yay!!! Only one more step to go! :)

:dance:Yaaayy! Today I received the email notification that I have been scheduled for interview!!! Exactly, 43 days after my Biometrics were taken. Same as NYC1984..

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: ***************

Application Type: N400 , APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview. You will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. You should receive this notice within 14 days. If you do not receive this notice within 14 days from June 3, 2011, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results

listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current

processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

That is good news, saves another drive to to Cincinnati for the ceremony. I'm in the Belmont area, near Kettering. What about you?

Yeah, I was relieved to not have to make the drive again, although I think some people have to drive way further to their nearest USCIS field office! I'm in Miamisburg.

Yeah, the drive to Cincinnati is not so bad, I see people write they have to drive hours to get to their field office and I feel lucky to have to only go an hour. We should get together! Miamisburg is so close to where I am - I would love to ask you about your citizenship interview.
