On May 9, 2011, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview.this is my status on USCIS.gov page

I also received this email on the 9th, however, it doesn't say that the case was transferred to my local office. I am not sure if I should expect a letter soon or they will transfer the case first to my local office and they are the people who will schedule my interview. I was reading some post on this forum where a person got this same status notification and he received his letter after 8 weeks. Please let me know if you hear anything from them natashenika.

valera, No need to make an appointment to do the walk-in FP as long as you have your letter with you. I've never heard from anybody here on VJ that got turned away.

My online status says the same thing. Giddy with excitement. I set up for email and text updatesbut I have never gotten any, so I just check it online. I will post as soon as I hear anything as well.

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

That is great - at least we know one thing that we've passed the security check. I hope we get our letters soon!

I am march filler... I have done with interview on May 6th. I got the email yesterday saying "we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. " Hopefully it will be soon....

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.

Had to make a change. He had fingerprints done in Norfolk, Va so I was assuming that was the field office? But his interview is in Durham, NC, so now I'm guessing that's it. I went in and changed it.

So out of boredom and mainly curiousity, I logged into uscis website and put in my application number and found this on my case.

On May 9, 2011, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. Please check the website for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I guess it's a good thing to go for an early "walk-in" biometrics. My biometrics was scheduled for 5-18-2011 and I walked in on 5-5-2011. Hopefully the interview letter should be in the mail soon.
