how important is a bank statement?

our bank has not yet issued a bank statement,i have already contacted the embassy but still no answer.my question is if i send in everything without the bank statement,is there a chance that we might get the interview date?granted i have the fiance's LES and a detailed bank statement from a prior year up to date

the bank statements come to you every month,if not go to the bank and ask for a print out of your bank statements,who is asking for bank statements is it for 1-134 supporting evidence for affidavit of support,it has notting to do with your interview date being granted.if you did not receive a RFE don't do any thing until you are asked,

If income is clearly sufficient, leave the asset questions blank, and include no bank statement. Otherwise, can't you print a bank statement online, or just fax or scan and email it to the beneficiary when you get it.

HSBC for example allows access to the last 12 bank statements online. That's what I'm going to print in case I need asset verification. This way you can show deposit and withdrawal activity in the last 12 months.

true,but the problem is in I-134 instruction clearly says that it needs a statement from the bank ( i assume it means even online statements would do ) or a bank officer and the statement should show A) the total amount of money deposited to the account within the last year B) the date account was opened C) current balance.

im trying to come up with a back up plan in case not the bank nor the embassy replay,so lets brainstorm

i didnt see your response,unfortunately navy federal does not give a damn about costumer service,he has tried calling them,but their phone lines are all automated voicemails and the closest navy federal is about four hours away,it would be ideal to get it done without him having to physically go there,however its not a big problem.the only issue is time,i have to have something figured out in case the bank doesnt cooperate

I've worked for a bank prior to working for the credit union now...and it is your right to have statements printed ...i'm not sure how to get around the automated phonelines but even our small credit union has online banking... If you can't get around the auto service then try to go higher and get your customer needs taken care of... good luck

If you can't get around the auto service then try to go higher and get your customer needs taken care of... good luck

we have called all those numbers.i dont think i gave the right information,i have the online bank statement,what i dont get is,with this at hand,will i need to get another statement,stating only those three things that I-134 instruction requires?

It is absolutely critical that you read carefully and interpret literally. Yes, the I-134 mentions a bank letter, not a bank statement. However, it mentions it on a possible list after a preface that includes wording like "applies to your situation" and "as applicable". So, again, if income is sufficient, simply leave blank all questions that ask about assets, rendering anything from the bank, "NOT APPLICABLE" to YOUR SITUATION. Get it?

ok i just reread your response and a question came up ( youve been patient with me so,thank you )would erasing the parts from the bank eliminate the need for the online bank statement which is detailed( pretty much states every time he took out cash or used his debitcard )?just double checking,unfortunately we cant afford missing a document or two and having the packet 3 resent to us

A new I-134 with the asset questions left blank will solve your problem. Erasing will not. Just what "time limit" are you referring to?

thats what i mean,by earsing,i meant removing bank from this whole deal.

our noa 2 is expiring in 20 days,and this whole bank statement was taking up too much time,the sole purpose of this post was to figure out a way to get my interview date without the bank statement in case we dont get it on time

I see. As long as you're still communicating with the Consulate, they'll extend the validity of the petition approval indefinitely. You'll need a new original with original signature on the I-134.
