Every year I buy US and Australian minted dollar coins in silver. I wonder if they would have much use in a collapse.

The latest government shutdown debacle proved once again that the politicians on both sides are completely delusional.

They are fighting over millions and billions when the deficit this year alone is close to 2 trillion dollars.

Even Paul Ryan's plan (which supposedly cuts 4-6 trillion dollars from the deficit) doesn't balance the budget until 2040.

I'm going to stand by my prediction of the impending collapse of the United States under a mountain of debt.

But the government only collects about 18% of that in revenue (and spends about 30%).

So it's the equivalent of you making $100,000 per year, spending $165,000 per year, owing $550,000 and adding $65,000 to your debt each year.

Using this example, Paul Ryan's plan is to cut spending by $235,000 over the next 10 years (so essentially spend $141,500 per year instead of $165,000) and stop increasing your Visa debt in 2040.

Keep in mind, Paul Ryan's plan will probably not pass the Senate as it's too "draconian".

So far we've cut 38 billion dollars from this year's budget (or using my example, cut our spending by $1492 this year.)

I'm not surprised. He probably wants to accelerate the collapse.

Soros has been talking about the "New World order", an "orderly" or "managed" decline of the US dollar and a new "global currency" for a while now.

Buy bullets. Much cheaper and in a crisis are better bartering stock than gold. Stick to the most common calibers. 9mm, .45 ACP, .223, .308, .30-06, 7.62x39 are all good.
