MADISON — Opposition to Gov. Scott Walker’s plans to eliminate most public employees collective bargaining powers got a boost Sunday as protesters were allowed to stay another night at the Capitol. (Scroll down to the bottom of this page for Twitter updates and additional video.)

The pro-union forces also received word that a Republican lawmaker may not support the legislation.

Protesters exploded with cheers when it was announced that state Sen. Dale Schultz, a Richland Center Republican who represents southwestern Wisconsin who tried to come up with a compromise budget repair bill, would not vote for Walker’s plan.

Brilliant strategy. Look out for a few more GOP state Senators to make such statements publicly. The Democratic Senators will then head back to defeat the measure in the state Senate (which is what these statements are all about) and voila - the Senate is in session. The GOP Senators - contrary to their publicly stated positions - vote to bust the unions and the Koch brothers get what they paid for.

It might me time to bring out those numbers on how much the Unions spent on Walker's opponent vs what Koch et al spent on Walker. And then assume that since there are more Unions than those two brothers, that only they were the ones that spent money to sway political action.

A CEO, a TEA Party activist, and a union organizer end up at the same table together, where they are being served milk and cookies. The rich guy grabs eleven of the dozen cookies sitting on the plate, and warns the teabagger, "Watch out for that union hack -- he wants a piece of your cookie!"
