I don't think the location matters at this stage, since all the applications are initially sent to the same address (the Chicago lockbox location) and then routed from there. It might have an influence later on in the game though. Bogart, it would help to know a bit more about your situation for all of us to be able to help and give meaningful comments and suggestions, i.e. where are you from, what status are you currently, what's your history.. you could also add the signature timeline to your profile, so it will be easier for all of us to follow each others timelines and progress. also fill out the official timeline, that will help with the average processing time statistics.

And.. maybe this is just me, btu from what I've been reading and seeing, 4 weeks for NOA1 seems Very long.. I find it a bit odd your lawyer would make such a statement, since most people seem to get them in less than 2 weeks.. but please someone else correct me if I am wrong with this.

Registering my presence as a co-March 2011 filer! I had to wait until I received some confirmation from USCIS before gaining the confidence to heave a sigh of relief!

Dobolo,

could you clarify where you filed your AOS and your local USCIS office. Your notification came really fast. I still haven't received mine.

FYI im from San Diego. Does that matter? Coz i heard it depends on the state u mail it from. Some states are fast and some are not.. Does it make sense?

yea please everyone update their signature or at least edit their timelines

yea I doubt sending out from NYC or from San Diego has any effect on this, later in the process maybe but not for NOA1

oh my god man i wish you signed something like stating any error caused by lawyer, you won't pay or get some refund. i dunno but noone should trust any lawyer. you know essentially that's what they learn in law school (to-lie) lol

lawyer surely lying about this, I read almost 1000 timelines on this site (yea a lot lol) and never seen a month for NOA1.i think lawyer is just saying that so you won't bother him every week saying `where's my NOA`

Heres my status:

Port of entry: Detroit, Sept 2007

I overstayed.. Met USC wife November 2009 and got married Oct 2010. Filed the petition AOS etc on March 3, thats my atty told me..he sent it out on that day.

again, overstay is forgiven upon marriage to USC, surely unless you landed here on B2 and overstayed visa a month and the second month you got married, but still they can't deny you :)

Even though you overstayed, I think they will overlook that simply because your spouse is a USC. Not sure if you were implying that your overstay has anything to do w/ the delay. Hopefully, you get it soon. Good luck.

well no not yet, i sent mine on the 9th too but it was actually the 10th, it was late 9pm so arrived Friday the 11th

wow that was fast, yours was received on the 10th mine was on 11th, so i guess based on this, we shall receive our NOA tomorrow :)

I doubt it. They filed to Vermont and are adjusting from a K1. Thats a family based visa. You cant even compare that process to adjusting from our kinds of visas/non-visas because they may not even have to interview.

Bogart, you could always try calling USCIS and checking if they have received it.. and if I were you, Id check right now with your lawyer about sending it - i.e. when did he/she say they've mailed it, and how did they mail it. If lawyer says FedEx, UPS or USPS express mail, demand for the tracking number and you can check online yourself when it really was mailed. If you left the process to your lawyer, he/she should have also known about the G-1145 email notification form and had you fill that out. I would ask about that too - how come the lawyer did not mention that option to you. Just be strickt and demand information. This is your case, your money and your time, and you have every right to know what the situation is.

Hello, count me in I'm a March filer! And to vkn & jsb, we filed on the same date! DId you use courier or USPS? I tracked mine via USPS and it says that the mail was delivered already today but no txt or email yet from USCIS of the acceptance. Let me know about your updates!

Gosh, I know I have done everything alright except for this little stupidity. On the G-325A I misspelled my husband's employer name, from Walgreens to Wallgreens. (double "L") But on the i-864, at least I was consistent with the spelling and wrote it WALLGREENS also. How bad is this??? I don't want any RFE...:hehe:But hey, I checked his W2 and they spelled it WALGREEN there without the "S". I hope they are not so strict with this. However, can anyone have a thought on this. WALGREENS is a big company with many branches all over USA and when G325A asked for the employer address, I wrote my husband's branch in San Francisco, and not the main company address somewhere in another state. WIll this be inconsistent because in his W2 once again, what was stated was ofcourse the main company address. Quite confusing!!!:(

update your signature with dates, so we can easily get your info

hmm we have sent with USPS Express Mail Overnight Guaranteed ($35) on late evening 9th so actually 10th, it arrived on the next day 11th the Friday, so far nothing but I shouldn't expect anything so far, maybe by the end of this week.

well hmm If I were you I would write the name and address however it appears on the W2, that's how we did it, But my wife doens't work in a branch so there's only one location so it's different. But I think you'd be fine, every living soul in this country know what walgreens is.

Yea. I'm really hoping that most of my forms had the bar code thing on. I went back to the civil surgeons office and asked them to redo the form for me. They asked me for the original and I was like, "Erm its with USCIS" then they said it was my fault as I gave them the forms. I agreed with them and told them that it was their responsibility to make sure that the form that they were filling in was correct in the first place.

I have to go back on Wednesday to get the redone form so in the event that I do get a RFE then I have another copy just in case. :)
