Yahoo!!! There's a reason to celebrate!!! My interview was at 12:45 today and a few hours later after we left the Sansome Immigration Office in SF, I got an email and text notification that they have approved the card production!!! Thank you Lord!!! :innocent::dance::dance::dance::innocent:

Here's to share to everyone especially those having their interview in SF USCIS Office...

The officer was a female Japanese. Funny coz my husband had a dream last night that some kind of Asian was interviewing us and very soft-spoken, and he was right! LOLZ

First, she made us take an oath, next she made sure the information in the forms which we submitted were correct.

While she was writing notes, she was asking us a few questions like, when did you meet and how, why did your friend introduce you to her, who were at your wedding, where are your evidence of co-mingling of resources, do you have any lease agreement, wasn't your family upset that they were unable to attend your wedding, what are your future plans, did you meet her family already, when was your wedding, when did you open your joint account, do you have any other separate bank accounts??????????????????

Ha! She talks fast, so guys just don't get intimidated, don't get nervous, they were just verifying the infos on the forms you submitted, and just like to know that you are truly married and are doing the things that married people are comfortable doing like sharing bank account, medical, car and/or life insurance, living together, etc.

My hubby was nervous he even gave wrong answers! He said "yes" when asked if he already met my mom, when i already said not yet (we were in the same room, sitting side by side), and i said, "Baby, don't get nervous while I was touching his face", then I corrected the info he gave, and the officer understood that he was just prolly nervous. In the end she said, it's a slight of a good news that she is approving our petition, but that she still needs to review our papers some more... And then after a few hours, the confirmation was received! Good news indeed!

Good luck everyone!!!

Thank you!! We will continue to keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers. I really wish the process was fast for everyone!! :/

I have one more question though; how do I get a SSN? I never worked during my f-1 status and distribution get an ead (who'd hire a pregnant woman anyway lol). After my gc arrives in the mail do I just go to the social security office and apply for one?

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.

Congratulations to everyone today is being 5 days since i passed my interview and i want to Thank all of you for being a support!! I want to share my experience today.. We got to the office right 45 minutes before the interview.. We were just chatting in the wait room so we wouldn't feel so nervous.. I seriously couldn't sleep the night before.. Exactly at 1pm a very nice guy about my age.. 25 years old called my name and i came with my wife... It was a very small office.. we sat there and He started reviewing the papers and just making sure everything was correct like he asked my full name and birthdate and same to my wife.. he asked to see passports of each of us.. and bith certificates.. Then he kept looking at the papers and asked if Maracay where i am from is close to barinas.. somewhere in Venezuela and he told me he lived there for 2 years.. So we started talking just about Venezuela... And he asked my wife if she liked the food.. and of course she said yes.. And he started just saying thing he likes... The guy was also very very tired cuz he has a newborn baby and couldn't sleep the night before... So he asked where did we meet and we said a dog park which he thought it was funny.. and he asked if i met her family which i said yes they went to our wedding.. We brought an scrapbook and hundreds of photos.. he said.. I don't really look pictures.. those are mostly women who sit and look at all of them haha.. He was very nice.. once i sat in that chair with my wife.. We felt grreat we didnt feel nervous anymore.. and I can say it was a great experience.. the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes and it was mostly making sure everything was summited right. It feels amazing to know that you won't get deported someday.. And just reading APPROVED it felt soo good that words can't describe you need to live it!! Anyway.. now i am applying for jobs.. and waiting Super excited to get my Green card.. We're very hapy.. And i hope this story helps a little bit.. I was Extremly prepare.. had tons of bills and pics.. and all he asked was passports and birth certificates.. But every case is different.. so just be prepare!
