Bogart, did you fill out the email notification form? We got the email notification in little less than a week after mailing the package (we did FedEx), and then hardcopy NOA1 two days from that. It'll come, trust me :) And they use regular mail, so it can travel for a few days too even after it's been mailed. Once you get the NOA and your reference numbers for your forms, you can sign up for email notifications on USCIS website so you know whenever there's an update with your case.

At this point, I am just so happy to have that thing out of my hands.. the night before I sent it out, I sat in my living room with a printer making a copy of the entire monstrous thing. Took me about 3 hours. Now it's just waiting and hoping for the best.. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that EAD would come swiftly. We'll see how that goes.. Good luck to all fellow March filers!

I regret not using Fed EX or UPS. I used the USPS express mail and my package was delivered a day late than originally promised. And a day makes a difference in my opinion. I am hoping to soon get that email and NOA1. And, never have I wanted someone to cash my check so badly ;)

I have had SO many problems with USPS in the past, that I am reluctant to mail even a post card using regular postal service here :) Hence the FedEx. For fellow March filers who have not yet mailed their packages, mine cost $48 through FedEx, and was delivered on time to a person who signed for it in less than 24 hours from when I mailed it. It's a bit more expensive then the USPS express mail, but maybe also a bit more secure.

Well, no one is gonna deny your application without processing it and interviewing you guys. Worst case scenario is that you missed something in the forms or a piece of suporting documentation that is crucial, and they will either send the whole application back to you with a letter explaining what was wrong / missing, or they'll eventually send you an RFE. Both are unfortunate in the sence that they'll prolong your application processing time a bit, but it's not the end of the world. I'd say it is more likely that they are just taking their time, and the NOA will arrive this week.

Did you use regular USPS? Not express? And no email notification form?

mrsfinland is right, there's no such thing as denial unless you have criminal records etc.etc.

You did sign up for the g-1145, right?

1 week and 4 days yes that's a long time for the first NOA, let's hope it'll arrive this week.

To me it's been 4 days so far, if we minus the weekends then it's been only the second day, I am hoping to get my first NOA within this week.

I am actually fine as long as I receive the EAD by the end of may (when school's out)
