I just received the RFE letter. Apparently, my wife also needs to fill out and I-864 form regardless she can't support me financially. I didn't know that, I just sent a I-864 from my brother which is my main financial supporter. I'm going to fill this up today and send it ASAP

Ok well at least it's a simple enough request. I hope everything goes well.

3/13/11 Mailed AOS package (i130, 1485, i765)

3/15/11 AOS package received w/ signature

3/18/11 Checks cashed. Received text/email notices. Package sent to NBC.

3/19/11 All apps touched.

3/23/11 Received i797C Notices for all apps. RD: 3/15/11 PD: 3/17/11

3/26/11 Biometrics appt notice received for i765 for 4/20/11

3/29/11 Biometrics appt notice received for i485 for 4/21/11

4/20/11 Biometrics completed at Brooklyn office on 60th St for i765/i485

5/5/11 EAD (i765) APPROVED!!! No text, email, or website updates.

5/13/11 Received EAD in the mail. Applied for SSN.

5/19/11 Received SS card in the mail. Good work SSA!

5/23/11 Mailed change of address forms: NY to NJ.

5/28/11 Moved to NJ.

6/1/11 Text/email stating interview is 6/30/11!! Yay!!!

6/3/11 Received hardcopy of NJ interview notice at new address.

6/6/11 Received receipt for change of address.

6/30/11 APPROVED!!!! Review coming soon :)

Hi guys! I was so surprised! I applied SSN last friday. I decided to come back today, and guess what... I already have my SSN, but not the actual card though.. I requested for a print out this morning over the phone ( i called directly to the local office ) and they told me just go to the office and ask for it. Now i have it and im all set for the job. :)

they usually generated your number 24hours after you have applied...your card will be with you from 5-7 days :) well, that's how mine was xD i felt like i just wasted my time commuting cause when i got my print out..my card got in the mail like 2 days later..LOL!! and i didn't do anything with the print out..just started memorizing the number xD!!!!

now at least we know it isn't something out of this world :) just filing for affidavit of support and that's it :) good luck with it! send it out right away after checking it twice or even thrice so everything would go smoothly! :D

Hello Everyone!! A Little update.. My interview is NEXT MONDAY!! :) I'm super nervous.. But trying to get everything that i need for it.

The USCIS website finally updated on saturday and said my EAD card was ordered for production on May 11 and today it says May 16 which is today Weird huh?

Anyway.. Does anybody know what should i need to bring to the interview? What's the most important things? Besides the bills together, pictures, bank statements and birth certificates?

Got my interview letter today for 06/20! One thing - the letter states a long list of items to bring along for the interview (which we are to use as a checklist) but none was specifically checked off. I assume it would be good to just bring along everything right? Now where are those interview questions? Time to start practicing! Lol!

Thanks for replying! That's all i am planning to bring! Also my car title in both names.. I think all we need is prayers :) My mother in law made an scrapbook for the wedding and i am bringing that with other tons of pictures! I am going to the Salt Lake City center

Okay, I just wanted to warn everyone that DMV WILL NOT authorize you any kind of ID until you get the Social Security Card in the mail.

My wife went to DMV today, waited for an hour and when her turn finally came, the lady strictly told her to wait for the actual card. So one thing is clear, DMV WILL NOT accept the Social Security receipt.

I hope it helps anyone who's eager to rush to DMV to get an ID/permit.

Yea don't take the receipt but they take a paper from the social security administration if you have on with the number on it just wait a cople days go back to the social and get the number on a official paper

Yes you can. Actually you dont have to show them the printout, you just have to write down your SSN on the application.. They only checked my EAD card and original birth certificate. But just in case bring atleast 2 more documents showing your current address and 2 photo IDs including your EAD card..
