I know most are happy because they can work but Im happy because this means that I can get a driving license!

@VKN--So it seems as if going in for your biometrics early really didnt do a whole lot of difference albeit a few days. Mine is dated 5/5/2011.

You're so right! I'm happy about work AND drivers license. My husband actually really needs a drivers license to get a job in his field. And we're moving out of the city in two weeks where he's going to need to be able to drive.

3/13/11 Mailed AOS package (i130, 1485, i765)

3/15/11 AOS package received w/ signature

3/18/11 Checks cashed. Received text/email notices. Package sent to NBC.

3/19/11 All apps touched.

3/23/11 Received i797C Notices for all apps. RD: 3/15/11 PD: 3/17/11

3/26/11 Biometrics appt notice received for i765 for 4/20/11

3/29/11 Biometrics appt notice received for i485 for 4/21/11

4/20/11 Biometrics completed at Brooklyn office on 60th St for i765/i485

5/5/11 EAD (i765) APPROVED!!! No text, email, or website updates.

5/13/11 Received EAD in the mail. Applied for SSN.

5/19/11 Received SS card in the mail. Good work SSA!

5/23/11 Mailed change of address forms: NY to NJ.

5/28/11 Moved to NJ.

6/1/11 Text/email stating interview is 6/30/11!! Yay!!!

6/3/11 Received hardcopy of NJ interview notice at new address.

6/6/11 Received receipt for change of address.

6/30/11 APPROVED!!!! Review coming soon :)

Seems like everyone is getting their EAD cards lately. We are praying for that and an interview letter. :)

Sep 2009- Met at school

November 29 2009- Asked her to be exclusive

July 4 2010- Asked for her hand in marriage

Dec 23 2010- Got married!!!

Mar 10 2011- Filed AOS with USCIS

Mar 11 2011- USCIS received app

April 9 2011- Received NOA for all forms

April 29 2011- Biometrics appointment scheduled

April 19 2011- Successful walk in biometrics in Phoenix

May 15- Received a RFE birth certificate/financial docs

June 9- Sent RFE back

June 13- Received email stating RFE response review

I was gonna say you should receive yours too but you already got it today. Yea you're right I don't think early-walk-in did any difference for this. So now 3 of us new yorkers got our EADs that's good.

Like harpa timsah says EADs are processed in the NBC not in the local office, I was thinking EADs were processing in the local offices too but anywho. So then now come the interview.

oh btw make sure you take a laptop with you when you go to DMV, you're gonna spend at least 3 hours there, hah, so you can maybe I don't know keep yourself busy.

I see a lot of people got their EADs this week. I did too, a day shy of 2 months from the priority date. And also no updates on line, no texts, no emails.

dsjmcr - thanks for the welcome earlier, we do have the exact time line and I guess we were at the same place on the same date to have our prints done. It will be interesting to see if all the New York interviews will come around the same time like the EADs.

07/27/11 - Green Card Interview - Approved
08/05/11 - Received Card!!!

07/09/2013 - Mailed ROC packet to VT SC

07/11/2013 - NOA1 date for ROC

08/13/13 - Bio appointment

Was out of town and had to reschedule BIO apt

I don't remember the exact dates, but it went something like this

Biometrics taken end of Sept

File moved from Vermont to California Center

Green Card Arrived in November

5/18/11 GOT PRINTOUT OF SSN

5/19/11 GOT MY FL DL WIFE IS SUPER HAPPY SHE DOESNT HAVE TO DRIVE ANYMORE.

AT 11:45 PM i have received this email (also received a text that says there's an update on my status, it's just for I-765)

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On May 6, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

this is really very late, i mean lol I have already received the card they update the web site a week after.

also now web site status is updated too for the I-765

My wife just got an update on her EAD Card. She was approved on May 12, so we should be getting it soon!

Quick question, when we go apply for SS #, what documents do we have to take with us? Also, the receipt we get from them after we've applied, can we use that receipt to go to DMV the same day and apply for her learners permit?
