Congrats!! Getting two APs is standard (at least for the old paper kind) - bring them both when you travel, for the first time, CPB will keep one copy on reentry and you keep the other (or they will just give them both back to you). You can keep traveling on the second one.

OK, good. :) Thank you! I'm hoping I will only have to use one since if I were to need an extra, it would be for a funeral.

Of course, the best would be if I didn't need to use either. :D

EAD arrived today! Hubby left it on the bed and when I came home from work I squealed with joy. I said, "Why are you so quiet?" and he responded with "Why are you so loud?" LOL I'm pretty sure he'll be glad to no longer be a house-husband. The timing couldn't be better, I can be a housewife while he works for the summer, and then I'll teach for a few weeks followed by a nice long maternity leave.

Oct. 2005- introduced by a mutual friend, hubby was living in Jamaica at the time, we become friends

Aug. 2007- hubby arrives to US on a J1 visa

May 2010- reconnected after losing touch for a few years, our relationship blossoms

Nov. 2010- hubby relocated to the Midwest so we can live together

Jan. 2011- I'm pregnant!

Feb. 2011- married on Valentine's Day!

3/18/11 Text message notification that our package was received and I797 is coming in mail.

I knew it! I got my EAD card today! :wow::dance: I must be some kind of a psychic! or just too much thinking of it that it finally happened! kidding aside, so what do I need to bring to get an SSN? And, can I go to any SS office? Like any SS office near our residence, or does it have to be in SF? :help:

And, can I go to any SS office? Like any SS office near our residence, or does it have to be in SF? :help:

OMG.. seriously i wasn't expecting that letter to come..until now, my online case status

is still on the initial review. i was expecting a mail from somewhere else (my rn license and

atm card with changed name LOL) but then THIS came i was like O__O!!!

Yours will come too!! I don't think they pretty much rely on the processing times

because it's still september 2010 there for hartford, that's why i am not expecting i'll get

it any time soon!

Congrats my friend! I told you you'll get it soon. I only showed my EAD card, marriage cert and birth cert (both certified true copies. You can go to any SSA office.
