AOS March 2011 Filers

After reading this forum for a while, I finally decided to join. I am also a March filer from NYC, my PD is March 14, 2011. Did biometrics April 20th for both EAD and I-485 (by the way I tried early walk in twice and it didn’t work) A week later I got a notice that they were not able to process my I-485 prints and the date to re-do them was 5/20. This time my early walk in worked. Now, I am just waiting and wondering what happened to my prints for the EAD, do they have them, did they lose them… ugh, when they re-did them the form said only I-485, I tried asking if that meant the EAD prints were done successfully the first time around, but no one seemed to have the answer.

By the way how do you enter a signature? I would like to put my timeline in my signature, but can’t see how to do it.

your EAD prints most likely fine then, nobody is going to have any solid answer for you about that unless uscis send you something that say we can't process `blalba`... I did my early walk-in 10 days after my initial filing, haven't heard from them for 2 months ever since.

you should've tried the Warwick street not the Brooklyn ASC, i heard Brooklyn ASC gives trouble for those who tries to walk-in

to change your signature;

on the far top right hand side below your username click on settings or go here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp

then select the tab Profile

then click on Change Signature

then start typing

to change your timeline;

again on the far top right click on your username then click on My Timeline (add/edit)

By the way just like you I had two bio notices with two different dates-EAD for 4/20 and I-485 for 4/25. On the form you have to fill out at the office I noticed that the clerk put down as a date 4/25, even though I was there 4/20. I wondered if even you do a early walk in they still write downn the date you were supposed to be there. I hope not, otherwise my new prints will not get processed until 5/20. I guess there's not much more to do now but just wait to either receive EAD or hit the 3 months mark and then start calling.

In that case, I hope you get it early as well. The sooner the better.

Welcome brklny. We have pretty much the same timeline, so I'll keep up with you.

I'm moving to NJ at the end of the month. Hopefully this will help me to avoid the NYC backlog. Thoughts on this, anyone?

Hmmm I don't know about needing a SSN to get a license. He sure doesn't have one. Maybe it's a state rule? He was able to take the class and get his license as he was volunteering at his campus' EMS service. They paid for the course. We are AOS for him from F-1.

Yea I Just found out it was a state requirements......I live in Florida BTW in how long more or less I will get the EAD? Its seen that Miami. Kendall field office is slow

Our biometrics was done on 4/20 and nothing since. No touches. Nothing. Really need the EAD!!!! And my hubby just recertified his EMT license and did well enough to qualify to be an instructor. We could really use extra money. Please come EAD! Please!!!

On your signature it says 'Call FBI'. I've never seen this in a signature. What's that about?

All the processing times I've seen say 3 months, but many people seem to receive theirs in 2 months. I'm just hoping that trend remains true for us.

I think he meant he called the FBI to see if the fingerprint went thru

Hi AOS March 2011 Filers,

Here is my update.

Sent AOS package: 3-4-11

Arrived: 3-7-11

NOA1 Date: 3-10-11

Biometrics scheduled for 4-1. Successful biometrics walk-in on 3-23-11 (Atlanta, Georgia)

EAD/AP Card: Received combo card on 5-6-11

Hubby applied for SS Card on 5-9-11: He gave rep a copy of I-94, passport, work permit/ap combo card & I-797 C (proof I-485 is pending). He was in and out within 30 minutes.

Interview: ????? I noticed that most K-1 filers do not have initial AOS interview. Also people from the UK and Canada seem to get approved without AOS interview. I guess I'll just have to wait for an interview letter, or for our case to be transferred to the CSC (usually that's a good sign).

Now, I am not too concerned about interview paper, but surely I want it as fast as possible

Congratulations!!!!!!! All of these EADs are gonna make me stalk the mailperson. Hahahahaha!
