Yay congrats!! did you like your photo in it? xD you better go ahead to an SSA Office near you so you can get your SSN (if you haven't have one yet ) and let's get start working our bums off! LOL

i see you're an F1 so you already have an SSN xD then let's work our bums off already! ha!

so spring break over, it's rainy outside i got nothing else to do lol....

I think us new yorkers shouldn't be all that scared on this beautiful rainy and humid day

checking the timelines for new yorkers...

all of these people are for other visas (no k1s etc.)

when you look at this timelines, there are some people who waited around 8 months but there are also some waited roughly 4 months to receive an interview date.

so here they are;

I got my biometrics for 5/11my wife suggested a walk in because we were planning on going out town that day what you guys think?

it just seeme like othet people's timelines are faster than Mine.I mean it's almost been a month since I sent the documents and I haven't received biometrics letter yet and its making me nervous haha. the last update on the website is April 7. I mean I guess they are working since they sent me the alien reg number letter but it just seems too slow

hey, I filed my AOS in the end of March. I received my email notification and letter notification.

How long do I need to wait for Biometrics Appointment? Somebody told me that I should receive it not later than a month from the notification, is that true?

Also, me and my husband we are planning long vacation in July. I really want to go to Arizona, but Ive heard they have very strict immigration laws. My visa expired few years ago. Am I protected by the law if I filed for AOS or I can be still deported even though I am married to US citizen and our papers are being reviewed?

Which visa were you here on? If it was an F-1 then you are fine. I know this because I live in Arizona and I work for an international student office so we get a lot of questions about overstaying visas, falling out of status, etc... And Arizona immigration laws aren't that strict. If you aren't riding around town in a bus load of illegal mexican immigrants with no kind of identification at all then you are fine Enjoy your trip and for your other question some people get the appt. letter for their biometrics early for my wife it took about 3 weeks from the day we received the NOA1.

I see that you were from H1B which means, a working visa... don't they take biometrics for

working visas before? (i have no idea... just asking XD) i got my biometrics appointment letter

2 weeks after they have received my Applications.

But hopefully someone will ease your mind by saying they are on the same page as you ^^

Sort of. We filed on February 7th and received the biometrics letter on February 22nd. But it can also take a month to receive it. If you do not get it in 30 days call them and ask about your case.

Call them and ask about your case! Although they might tell you to give them more time!

no calling them is no use, they will check your case number and will tell you the same exact thing that is on the web site

so don't waste your time on the phone.
